Ok guys....yes, I call Larry my hubby. we live together so I just call him hubby instead of BF. I have other names I call him but those are private...LOL. Yes it's my trike he's talking about and it really has been a thorn in his side. Hopefully now it will be fine though. We should have the engine/tranny by Thurs or Fri.

Thanks JC. I loved (and my grandson still loves) that e-bike. He lives in the OC area of CA and it gets him to and from work and college. He says it's still zipping right along and hasn't failed him yet.. Luke: That video would not have changed my mind. My husband's Harley has had flat tires for crying out loud. Rust would have to be from the area the scoot is in..near the ocean perhaps and left outside year round might do it.. But I agree with Dave...a little rust and a flat tire doesn't affect the way a scooter runs. Care and maintenance are the key to keeping any scooter in good condition.

I guess it's unfortunate that I'm not a mechanic...but fortunate that I married one...LOL. I do love to ride though. We've bought 1 E-bike Xtreme, 1 TaoTao 50cc and 1 Ice Bear 300cc trike over the past 8 months because I am sold on China bikes. The E-bike was because I told my husband, Larry that I would never ride my own bike. I like riding behind him. HAH!!! That went right out the window once I started riding that little sucker. LOL. Within a few months, I told him I would like something a little bigger so I could ride up the hill faster than a snail's pace. I passed the E-bike down to my grandson and the TaoTao CY50T became my two wheel ride...a few months later, I saw the Zodiac trike and told him I'd really like to have one of those. So he got it for me for Christmas. This is the only one we've had any problems with ad I believe one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch. The trike had a little glitch but it will be taken care of via the company at no charge to us..not even shipping. So Luke...please don't think I'm against the China bikes. My husband is a little p.o'd with them at the moment but I think it's because he bought it for me for Christmas and it had a tranny issue so I couldn't ride it. I'm a patient person so I can wait. Once he gets the tranny/engine back, he'll have her purring like a kitten... ;D I love my China bikes...

They seem to be very helpful and upholding the warranty but I'll keep you posted on how it is when it comes back. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to Jim but hopefully that will never happen again. Hopefully, the Chinese want more of our business and will continue to stand behind their product now.

It's been about 57 here too for the past few days. I go out on my lil blue at least once a day. I love the ride to the post office and back. It's only about a mile and a half but it's better than not riding at all.

Hi Guys....The warranty covered the issue and they paid for shipping the tranny/engine to have it repaired or replaced. You have all seen the pics of how it came to us. It was in a crate and virtually nothing was together properly including the cable to the seat, brakes, etc. We called the company immediately and their tech walked Larry through all of that so the warranty would not be voided. The techs think the tranny is defective so sent us a shipping label to send it to them and they will repair it or replace it. This is how my luck runs..LOL. Here's a little story... When my kids were little, I shopped at Toys R Us for birthdays and holidays. Out of all the toys in each section, I always seemed to pick the defective one and would always have to return it for a different toy. Now on the trike...I was originally getting the black one but at the last minute, I asked if I could still get the burgundy trike. She , the lady I was dealing with, busted her buns and called Ice Bear a couple of days before they shipped out. They called her back and told her that they put an extra burgundy trike on the list with all the others that were to be shipped. Well, I got the defective one....so the moral of the story is....I should have just left it at the black one...LOL.

I'm sorry to say that my new trike is in pieces in the garage. The transmission would not sinc unless I pushed it with my feet forward or backward. I never got to ride it and the tranny/engine is being shipped out today to be fixed or replaced. I may get it back before Christmas but it's not looking good. My husband, Larry, says it will be more like mid January before he gets it back together. Ice Bear is not at the top of his list at the moment. I'm still a China bike lover but he really isn't all that impressed by them...ok..he actually like my TaoTao but he's a Harley guy all the way...LOL.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know anything about fixing scooters but most of the people on here do. I just wanted to say Hi and Welcome. ;-)

My husband finally got my Zodiac running but to make it go forward or reverse, I have to give it a little push with my feet in either direction so gears will catch. Is that normal? It's a 2013 Ice Bear Zodiac 300cc.
