We don't have your typical seasons down here in Florida...
The seasons here are: Hot, Hotter, Hotter than Hell and Christmas.

Thanks alleyoop and RS I believe it was one of your posts that led me to the Part number for the relay i purchased. So which write is the ground wire? Grounds are usually Black or Green. I'm not by my scoot right now to verify how I have mine hooked up, but you can see in the picture he has what looks like a black wire and a white (or gray) wire hooked up to the flasher and the green wire taped off to the side.

Found it! Ok so I found it, but the replacement I bought is only a two wire, and the original Is a three. Should I just bring my original to the auto parts store? Also if the new one doesn't have The wires marked, then how do I hook it up? When I swapped in a variable load flasher for LEDs, I replaced my original 3 wire with a 2 wire. I believe you just leave the ground wire off.

I need help

Yes, it looks that way to me too, but I can't tell how deep the brake part is...it may just be there so it fits well on the standard GY6 CVT, but not deep enough to take a drum brake... It also may not have the steel insert that the drum brake pads stops on... So.. I don't know... I have a 13" disc brake rim that I thought would work with a drum brake setup.... I was wrong. I put the shoes in place, but they couldn't push out for enough to engage with the drum.

I'm going to completely strip the bike and repaint the whole thing. Despite what UM said, the bike is purple, not blue. I kinda liked the color at first, but since I've got a fair amount of body repair to do, its time for some new color. I've been considering using Dupli-Color, but I'm looking at alternatives, too. I'd love to drop the cash on an air compressor and paint gun, but that's not in the cards right now.

Has any ever used the Preval system? www.preval.com/I don't know if I'd paint a car using it, but I'm thinking it might be worth a shot on my scoot. I don't have an air compressor and this would almost certainly be cheaper than renting one. Plus, I've got a connection to get the paint cheap (maybe free), so I'm not going to blow a bunch of money on expensive auto paint if it doesn't really work out. What do you think?

When I first read the thread topic... I thought it may have been related to the Boston Red Sox.

kymco Bikes

If my next bike isn't a motorcycle, there's a very good chance it will be a Kymco. I think I might have fallen in love with the Downtown 300i in burnt orange. There's a Kymco dealer just a few miles from my office. I haven't been over to see them, but I've thought about it many times. I just don't think I could live with the temptation.

Top speed
by: runningslow - May 2, 2011 6:48:08 GMT -6
Post by runningslow on May 2, 2011 6:48:08 GMT -6
I weigh in the neighborhood of 250lbs myself, and ride a 189cc (161QML)... the best speed recorded is 63mph on my gps-calibrated Sigma bike speedo. But, my average is usually around 50-55 in steady winds. However, I think my rpms are only in the 6500rpm ballpark. I think some heavier weights and some taller gears in the rear end could easily bump that up.
I'm skeptical of any stock 150 going a true 70, but maybe the lightweight rider can make that big of a difference. Stranger things have happened.

Today going to a friends house i hit 57 according to my GPS. Last week i hit 59 according to a LCSO street radar my GPS said 56. Thats only at 3/4 throttle still scared to open her up with the small 10" tire up front. Nice! The highest I've seen on my bicycle speedo (verified by gps) is 63. This was at full throttle, in a tuck. I'm sure I could do better, but I need to tune my CVT.

Where did you find the bracket but the site requiring a minimum order? I was thinking about swapping to the CF hugger fender that I already bought from MonsterGY6. When I ordered I assumed(never assume) that it would bolt on my Hornet. My fender doesn't have the brackets for either side so it of course didn't work. I don't have the tools to fab brackets up so, I figure I will just drop the jack to get them. Thanks! That was Alpha-Sports.com, but when I asked about it, they actually told me they didn't have the bracket.

I like it! I've got the same engine (from scrappy) in my Matrix, but not really any perf parts to go with it. Just the stock stuff from my original 170.
What's your top speed? (real, not chino)

Well, I eyeballed it and it seems to work out great. I had to fiddle with it a little bit a few times, but in the end the fender lines up well. I'll post some pics if anyone is interested, but its just a little plate of aluminum with a couple holes in it.
