I am building a new intake riser to lift and clock my carb so that it faces front and I have a question about the 2 nipples on the stock intake. What purpose do they serve and do I need to transfer them to the new riser to keep them close to the engine block or can I leave them on the stock intake and use it as an elbow? If left on the stock intake they will be about 4 inches above their original location.

IB carries the Sprockets. Some came with a 24 tooth front sprocket and some later ones came with a 29 tooth front sprocket. Mine came with the 24 tooth and I ordered the 29 and that is what I have on. The rear sprocket is 30 tooth and you cannot get anything smaller due to the size of the Differential and room back there. To get speed from sprockets you can go up teeth on front sprockets and down on rear sprockets. Alleyoop Thanks for the info.Sorry it took me so long to respond.Completely forgot that i had asked this question.

I am going to add that I see both sides of the issue. With the freedoms that we have comes great responsibility and a necessity to make hard choices as to how we exercise them.It is true that America has the energy reserves to maintain our present usage for 100 or more years, but what do we do when those are gone and we have made no provisions to replace those technologies with more viable life-friendly ones? I also think that it is childish and disingenuous to say," To hell with you I am going to drive what I want and you can`t do a damn thing about it. " As an aside, I am very conservative both fiscally and socially, so there is no need to call me names that are inaccurate.I am an a$$hole and a jerk but not a liberal/progressive. Somethings are just right and transcend labels and being better stewards of our existing resources is one of those things. But, I do not believe that global warming is created/caused by man just maybe exacerbated by us.

Having trouble with mounting the carb due to clearance issues with the engine hanger. Is there a part or method to install a high-flow filter that isn`t interfered with by the engine hanger ?Can the carb be turned in another direction that will allow the new filter to be installed? If so, how?

Hi Mac .Welcome to the board. That exhaust looks like one for a 2 stroke with that expansion chamber. If that is a 2 stroke exhaust it won`t scavenge the exhaust gases from a 4 stroke properly.

Searched but could not find the answer. Is there an optimum distance between carb and air filter? Can it be too long?

Hey bud.I have seen the resolution for that on here , but I can`t remember what it was You should be able to do a search for the specifics of your leaking carb and come up with it.Hope that helps.Russ Ooops! Sprocket got it.
