dude, looking good! i like it, looks like you got a little stance change there. i think the wind up spring is cool! keep it! so is the motor shot? Yeah, about 1.75 " on the rake. I am going to fab up or buy an extension to set the Motor and trans back and down a bit.I don`t know if the motor is shot, but there is something causing the winder to stick . Basically, I want to go to an electric start .

Here it is with the front forks mocked up.Disregard what looks like a bend , I haven`t welded the spacer in yet that the red section will rest on .

I have to post some updates . I haven`t checked yet to see if he responded ,but I would like to buy an engine from Jim @ Rapid Repair. Everything I have read about him here and elsewhere says that he is a stand-up guy.

I don't know how I missed this thread. I just sold my 1980 Express NC50 a few months back. I bought it a few years back and between me and my son, we rode it more than a few miles. They are great little bikes and bulletproof but the carbs have to be spotless to run right. I am also a member of Moped Army and they sure don't like plastic scoots or anything without pedals. Let me know if you need any help or questions with that express. Yeah,what ticks me off so bad over there is that so many comments are malicious . I can handle negative input, that`s how you learn other viewpoints but that crap is useless.

Did a proper PDI.Not the 1st owner but I don`t believe it was done for original owner. Got to tell ya, these chinese tires are hard as H311 ! Looking for some new ones ASAP! I did a search ,but I want ya`lls current opinions.

Bought a 1980 Honda Express II with multiple issues. This is a 2 stroke 50cc motor with a unique start method, clock work spring that you wind and then release to start the motor.That obviously won`t work for me.Also the front forks were bent and electrics are shot. Am looking at a 90 cc minarelli for motive power. Started on the front forks today.Am using a set off of a MTN Bike and making a triple tree for it .I will try to post some picks .

So, on the stator.What issues did you run into with the engine when changing the stator? You bought that from T-motorsports?
