A month back I opened my cvt case and a small spring fell out on the floor.

Do you have a pic of the oil seal?

When I redue this, should the Variator be installed before the clutch bolt is torqued?

That totally makes sense alley. Since I'm leaking oil like crazy already, I'll just do a tare down and redue my gaskets. I need one of those special sockets to tighten the clutch bolt to specks. I guessed using a screwdriver and mallet! Doh!

I am still having this problem. What would cause my electric starter not to engage most of the time. When I hit the start button normally I get a screech and then sometimes it will engage and start my bike right quickly. The noise it makes sounds like gears grinding. Prior to changing my crank this never happened.

So I rebuilt my motor over a month and a half ago. I've put 800+ miles on it since and now I'm leaking oil something fierce. I'm getting oil all over the under carriage and the rear break. I installed the gaskets and used rtv sealant. What gives? Short of replacing my motor gaskets, is there something else I can do?
Also, I can't seem to find a gasket kit for my 1P57QMJ. Anyone? Bueller?

if its torqued, then it shouldn't move. could be your drive axle/ shaft bearing. are you sure your whole engine isn't moving? could be shock mount bushing or front mounts 2nd this , sometimes if you look carefully you may be able to determine if it is the wheel bearing or the axle bearing . If the whole wheel and axle moves it is the axle bearing , if the axle does not move then it is the wheel bearing . I would retorque the wheel just to be sure it did not back out . We had the nut comming loose because of the wheel bearing being seized . John Thanks John. When I torque'd it to 60lbs it fixed my issue.

While changing the oil in my scooter today, I noticed that my rear wheel has some lateral play in it. It is very minor, but is this normal? Seems like it should only move forward and backward. It is torqued to specification.

So I am feeling like the front forks on my scoot are a little weak. I didn't find anything on this forum when I did a search under suspension.
Has anyone done a teardown of the the front forks and replaced the seals and fork oil? If so, what did you learn and what seams to be the best weight oil for a comfortable ride? I weight 195 lbs.
