I was kinda thinking the other day and reading some of the other threads, we are pretty lucky in this great nation of ours. Obviously we all have computers, some of us with multiple (5 in our house). We obviously all have or have had scooters with many of us having a multiple of those (3 in our house). With the MANY different opinions and ideas, I thought it would be interesting to start a thread with what you do or did for a living. Kind of give us a background on you and what you do. I'll start: I am a district manager for Dollar General. I have been doing this for 6 years and I have been in retail for almost 30 years. I am in charge of 17 stores soon to be 18 with most in Pa. but I also have three in Ohio. For last year, I was rated #14 overall in the company out of about 700 districts. This was based on several categories such as sales, shrink and profit and ranked inside the company. We are currently a Fortune 200 company and growing quickly.

I have been involved in the dog show game for 50 years as an exhibitor, professional handler, show superintendant, and for the last 27 years I have been a professional sharpener working the show circuits in the SE sharpening clipper blades and scissors as well as selling grooming equipment. For the past 6 years I have slowed down the road trips and have concentrated on turning the business into a home based retirement income. If it is not against the forum rules you can see what I do at tarabar.com, out website.

Local Truck Driver. I'm one of them fellas that deliver these scoots along with just about anything else you can think of. We used to be mostly B2B but when the economy slowed down we started hauling whatever to keep the trucks full and revenue coming in. Rough on the body but keeps us working and the company in business.

I'm a mechanical engineer by education, but I'm currently working as a concrete formwork engineer. My official title is still Engineer-In-Training, even though I've been here for almost 5 years.

Lead Maintenance Technician for Zip Pak, maker of extruder plastic zipper found on almost every re-closable food product. I have been in the mechanical maintenance business for nearly 20 years. I currently run the maintenance department doing everything from everyday repairs to designing and manufacturing new part for production lines.
For those who wonder about consumer packaging extruded zipper, think of the Kraft shredded cheese with the slider and zipper on the bag and thats what we make.
