Wow, Speedracer. You really have been scootin' around when you weren't doing your repairs. You bought your 250B about a month before I bought mine, and from the same place. I have a little less than 1,000 miles on mine. I guess the scootin' weather in SC gives you a little more riding time than we have in MI.
When I started having a little trouble with my Roketa I bought a 2006 Silver Wing. I will be attempting a valve adjustment on the Roketa in the next week or so. From reading a number of your posts, and others, it seems that when the owner has done enough tinkering with the Chinese scooters they overcome a number of the problems and then the scooters are good to go for a lot of miles.

Hey Mike, Yes I have been doing a lot of scooting. I can ride almost all year long expect for when it rains and when we get our week of real cold weather. I have only put 3,000 on my car last year and that was going on weekend trips or vacation, otherwise it's scooting along. Doing the valves are the biggest pain as the exhaust valve which is usually the problem is located in a hard to reach area. I think the two times I did the valves the exhaust was off and the intake was fine. Heard later on that the exhaust valve is usually the one which needs adjustment. Since then I've put 5,000 miles on it and no valve problems which causes stalls.

It has been a few months since this thread was started but I'll add my two cents. I have a 2011 YY250T and have about 4700 miles so far. Have had a few problems with it. Left fork was bad from the start, now right fork has started leaking. One of the little screws on the back side backed out and caused problems until I bought an electric impact wrench to tighten the variator nut. The Temp gauge read full hot even though the engine is not hot at all. Changed sender twice==no difference. I rider almost every day and go up to two hundred miles on a trip. Tire wear is excessive on the original tires. Replaced rear at 2000 mi. Looking for better tires. I am hoping that I can get at least 40,000 or 50,000 out of it.

It has taken some moderate wrenching and serious wire pulling to get there, but my SunL 250 scooter went over the 10, 000 mile mark last week, but it took me two years to do it. It is finally running like I thought is should when I got it.

The official average annual mileage for a motorcycle is 2,500. Doing 10,000 miles in two years is well above average. Great mileage for a SunL.

I use my scooter most of the time. Only really use the car if it is raining or we are going on a trip, otherwise it's scooter time. Sure had my fun fixing things, but it has yet to shut down and not refire. It's up to 12,000 miles now and it starts right up every day. I'm sure something else will go, but keeping my fingers crossed in the mean time. Good for you Nulldevice. Keep on scooting.

Nice to see 10k! I've been racking up the miles on my CN250 clone engine/cvt in my CF Moto and expect both my bikes to pass the 10k milestone before the end of july. Bike #1 was bought in March and now has 3,000 miles on it in 2.5 months, bike #2 was bought used a few weeks ago with almost 5k and just rolled 6k last week. I ride both my bikes a LOT. My Geely 50 just rolled 2900 kilometers so it has decent miles on it, but the bigger bikes are getting 100 miles or more daily.

Mine, bashan 150cc, just broke, I've did a piston ring job, & has head replaced. It sucks. I got to over 4000 miles, but just that. I'm saving for new 250cc scooter. If I ever get bird I'll put in a new engine & make it the project scooter. I need one that always runs.

Well, I'm up to 8500+ and going strong. It took almost 5000 miles to break in and quit using oil. Right fork strut started leaking and I found fork seals for a Honda CN250 fit perfectly and a lot less than a new strut. Have a 300 mile trip tomorrow and another 300 return trip later in the week. So I'll soon hit the 10,000 mark too.
