i have a yy250t with 300 miles on it now... i was going to take the alarm out .. initially... i did *test* it to see that it worked.. the instruction page had my eyes glassy... ive seen tv remotes that were less involved... it occurred to me that the remote starter/alarm system.. and the key system.. are unaware of each other... and if you begin with one.. its best to end with one.. i.e., if you start your scooter with the remote... you better shut it off with the remote... so rather than open a can of worms.. i simply put the remotes on a shelf.. out of range.. and have not used them.. scooter has worked like a charm ... starts every time.. (key start)... battery seems to be holding up well... no remote system drain...

im not terribly unhappy with 48 mpg... same average on both gas-ups so far.. it is very early .. only 140 miles so far.. if breaking it in changes the mileage.. great.. i am scooting in city commuting traffic.. so that affects it no doubt..

2nd gas fillup.. topped off 1.4 gallons... and had ridden 60 miles... 42.8 mpg... not terribly bad really.. city driving.. 20-35 mph.. still breaking scooter in.. but a far cry from the 60mpg so often quoted on videos etc

i have THREE filler caps.. one for the gas.. .easy enough.. one - plastic pop-on pop-off cap for coolant next to it... and one under the seat? is that for coolant also?

i unscrewed the faceplate of the RADIO/MP3 player thing... hoping i could easily install my digital dash voltmeter in its place.. unfortunately.. the face plate is attached to a ribbon wire... with a narrow slot sliced in the dash plastic.. and no way to access it without taking the cowling off... nothing seems easily accessible... the plastic covers for all lights.. none of them have screws.. all are tucked in behind big plastic that must be removed first.. ugh

my first reading of mileage on the YY250t .. i filled the tank on leaving the dealership with new scooter... and started the trip meter... when the meter read half way.. +/- some.. the mileage was 70 miles... i filled the tank again... and it took 1.47 gallons... or 47 mpg... not so good.. but.. better than my truck.. and a lot more fun

i looked for the horn.. it is placed under the steering bars.. quite inaccessible without removing the cowling..... and just feeing it .. i can sense it is a very cheap product.. so one more thing on my list.. when it warms up and i take the plastic off
