Does your scooter have 2 rear shocks? Is the piece you are looking for bolt on the same bolts as the exhaust?

I would replace cdi box and coil. Both of these can become bad with the relation to heat. Once they cool off, they start working again.

I have had no trouble cleaning the clutch and variator with brake clean. We do it at least 2 times a week in our repair shop on customers ride.

Check the vacuum fuel shut off. Could be leaking fuel in vacuum line and sucking fuel in the intake by passing the carburetor

It looks like your speedometer cable. If not damaged it should screw in to the adapter that is mounted on the front axle.

Can you start or turn or turn the engine over with the stater? If you can then the brake switch is ok. Check both brake switches one at a time.

We use 15/40 oil all year long. No problems.

Check and see if it is charging the battery. Needs around 14.4 volts at 5000 rpms. There is a lot of trouble with bulbs burning out.

I would change the regulator. This should fix your problem.
