I just have to wonder why people come on here with a problem, ask a question and then just disappear. There are so many threads where questions are asked and answered and the person who makes the post doesn't bother to respond or give anyone a thank you. Just seems rude to me.

The other issue you have is those black specs you found in the fuel line. I am sure they found there way to your carb. You need to change both the fuel and vacuum lines to USA made lines. Your fuel pump may be an issue, and if it is you don't need an electrical fuel pump. If you change your lines and if you clean your carb including the jets and passage ways it will take a well charged battery to get the fuel from them the tank to the carb. For me it took a few minutes of hitting the start button for a few seconds at a time, but it did pump gas into the carb. We have the same linahi engine so I know it will pump fuel to the carb. Listen to Cruiser and change the fuel filter. If your fuel pump is clogged with crap you can replace it with this one. www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/mikunifuelpump1.php

To me it's just a Cam Am look alike with not enough power and a small gas tank to boot.

Those blacks specks could very well be coming off your fuel line. Have you changed the original fuel and vacuum lines? Also those specks may have clogged your jets. May need to clean carb.

On the cdi make sure the 2 wire connector is connected. Next the coil has a rubber boot on it. Remove and make sure both wire connectors are clean and secure. Do what Cruiser suggested to check starter.

What model scooter? It could be the switch on brake handle. Does rear brake light come on? Does your scooter start no matter what brake handle you use? Kill switch off?
Need more info.

Picture three is the carb bowl outlet. It has a hose next to it in the picture and needs to be connected. It runs down to the cvt cover and there is a screw which needs to be tight. If you are turning over your engine gas must be pumping out that nipple and running over your engine. Or it is not allowing the fuel pump to pump gas into the carb bowl.
It will not start unless it is connected or plugged off.

Sounds good sandbox. Take a few so each side of the carb shows.

You only have one carb connection to worry about. Like I said the other two are useless. Once we know where the other one is on the carb we can get you pointed in the right direction.

Worn Clutch

When I said less the a 1/4" that was measuring the pad and what it is mounted on. There is not much pad left. 6500 miles on it now. I try to take care of things before it's too late. Most of my driving is around town with the exception of a few long rides. But for the most part it is stop and go, stop and go. Looking at the ebay clutch Jalat, I can tell you my clutch is really worn down compared to that one.
Cruiser I take it the both the honda and yahmaha clones use the same clutch? I will go with the complete clutch. Everything new including springs so it seems the easiest and best way for me to go.

Today I looked at the shoes on my clutch and I have less then a 1/4" left. Been looking around at clutches, but I am not sure if they come complete with springs and pulley.
Thanks
