That new coolant with waterwetter did good for city driving. Now temperature gauge hardly goes to 1/4 when driving under 90km/h (=56mph). And when speeding full 110km/h (=68mph) its getting about 1/2.

That is really good. Maybe better than should I don't think I put too much effort for this issue if this is good enough for me. Of course when I get that another regulator I will give it a try because it is easy to test.

I think I got fixed this charging issue enough Today postman bring me more led lights. I put them into gauges. Now all of my lights are leds and HIDs. And at the same time when front plastic was off I installed 12 volt socket into a glove box with a relay. And also Gammatronix kameleont led volt meter to tell me charging status while driving. Same kind of gammatronix led which I installed before in my last scooter Malaguti Madison S250. That gammatronix led can show you either charge voltage or battery voltage. There is jumper which allows you to make a selection between. This time I installed rocker swicth into a glove box for those jumper pins. Mainly of course it is showing charging volt state. When green = charging good volts. over 13.2V When orange = not so good volts. 11.8 - 13.1V I tested charging now with all lights on (hid + leds). When idling it was charging good and led was green. I throttled 5 minutes and radiator fan started. Voltmeter led went orange at the same moment. I stopped throttling and let it idle with fan + hid on and led was orange. But when I gave throttle and it went 3500 rpm led turned to green \o/ HOOORAY!!! I think that would be enough. On very hot days fan can start easier. And when driving in the city and stopping lot in traffic lights charger does not chager enough. That might be the only problen later. I will try to avoid that by buying new better battery. Current battery is 8Ah and I will buy 12 or 14 Ah battery. It will allow more traffic stops Also I will put one extra ground wire from battery to frame. Thick good ground wire. Just in case. To avoid electic problems. And today I also bought new coolant liquid and WaterWetter which cool your engine more and cooling fan is not needed so much. Tomorrow I will change my coolants. Water wetter seems to cool it amazingly better. That was new for me. And if that is not enough, then I give it a try for that air scoop. Sadly I already ordered another requlator rectifier and that 3 amp cooling fan. But it is good to have spare parts. Thank you all for help

Hey guys. My friend is car mechanic and he told that you should never mix any red coolant with blue/green coolant. My jonway coolant looks blue/green. So if I put new blue/green coolant there can I mix there even WaterWetter which is red?
Or should I use red coolant in my cfmoto jonway?

Okay. Maybe it is clutch then which is slipping. I will try to sand clutchpads and bell a little. It is nice that cfmoto variator opens after 2 bolts

Water wetter. Cool stuff. I have never heard of that. Might help also with charging issue. Less cooling fan used. Hope so. I think I will do it. But it's going to be exiting since i've never done it before. Maybe I break something or air pocket somewhere...

Do you mean that there is no need to change coolant fluids? This scooter is 3 years old and I don't know is there factory coolants or not. Maybe they then are good if you say so Damin what your temp gauge says when your fan starts?

I opened it many times and it looks ok. I even cleaned front pulleys and clutch plates with break cleaner. As belt also. So nothing should slip. There were no oil leaks anywhere thank god. Not visible dust anywhere and vbelts were not torn. Hmm... could it be clutch pads? Maybe they are glazed or bell is too dusty. I test it a little bit more when I get out of work and let you know if it still slips. That reminds me the time when I had linhai cloned maxiscooter and I bought JCosta racing variator for that. Revs got really REALLY high right when you started to accelerate. Which made belt and clutch pads slip. Had to change it back to original variator and slipping disappeared. Week ago I put in my first Dr. Pulley sliders and acceleration got faster. That could also cause the slipping? Even thou Dr. Pulley sliders were nothing compared to JCosta variator. It was mad grazy arse variator I sanded glazed clutch pads but day after they were again slipping Not nice for daily scootering. Best for real racing. Maybe I should test this again with old rollers. Then I know if Dr. Pulleys cause this slipping. Somebody here are using a bit smaller belts like 906. Mine is 916 like stock belt. Hmm... Should I buy one 906? Hey all of you guys who own jonway yy250t or similar looking cfmoto engined scooter. What size of belt do you use?

Hi, does your variator belt slip when the weather is really hot like +88'F.
Last week here in Finland was that hot. The whole week. It was exhausting. So I went to ride with my Jonway every day to cool me off.
But it felt like variator belt was slipping really much. I tested two different variator belt and both of them felt like slipping. Another one was brand new but some cheap chinese brand which slipped really much. And another was used Gates powerlink which was much more rubbery and it hold better but slipped a litte bit too.
My belt size is 918 - 22.5 - 30
Is that normal in hot weather? Does your belt slip at all in hot weather?
Today was only +59'F when I ride to work only 4 miles. It didn't feel slipping at that point. But when it was hotter it started to slip right after 0.5 miles.

Hi! My Jonway seems to start radiator fan when temperature gauge goes just over 1/4. Is that ok?
Temperature gauge have never gone over 1/2 even when weather was +88'F at the shadow. Last week was that hot and the fan was like always running. Today weather was only +59'F and fan didn't need to run all the time. But I think temperature is a little too low if fan starts at 1/4.
What your temperature gauge shows when your fan starts?

I am giving a serious thought for that air scoop. I really don't want to miss that another hid light to behind extra switch. But another thought air scoop might collect really much mud, dust etc. to the radiator. But so is linhai style scooter as well where the radiator is right behind the front rear.
I think I will give it a try and let you know. If it does not help, it is really easy to fix back to normal.
By the way. Is that belly pan easy to remove for cutting a scoop. Do I need to remove a lot of plastic?
