I responded to your other thread, but saw this one. If you are talking about the PWK flatslide carb, no washers, it has the movable clip.

EPDOWD, if you are using the PWK flatslide (like in the diagram), the needle does have the grooves. Just use a small set of pliers to pull the C-clip carefully then move it up for lean and down for rich. The FS carbs can be a bitch to tune, but very rewarding when you get them set up like you want. I love mine!!

The diffeerence with all six 17's and the combo 17/11 is higher RPM's the 17/11 combo lets your engine rev higher and thus higher speed. Your fuel economy will go down proportionaly as well. You will get better mileage with all 17's, because the RPM's are lower.

I did not return it because I really like the gauge, but I did give neutral feedback. I don't remember the name they use on Ebay, but it is the ebay presence for the manufacturer, Glow Shift. They make a great selection of gauges, the "wideband" gauges come with sensors, but the narrow band ones don't. I actually sent a PM before ordering to confirm it came with a sensor and they said it did. When it arrived, it did not have one so I called them, and they said they did not have a narrow band sensor to send me so I would have to return it. I chose not to. The "wideband" gauge and sensor are much more expensive, and in my uneducated opinion, are not needed for our purposes. The wideband ones are used by cars with fuel injection and computers and use the detailed information so the computer can adjust injection etc. All we are doing is using the gauge to adjust a carb manually. So there you go.........

The sensor I got from the vendor "sixity" on ebay and the guage I got on ebay from a vendor I won't name because they would not work with me on the gauge when they confirmed it came with a sensor and it did not.

LOL @ both of you. it only sticks into the exhaust tube about 1/2" and has holes in it so I really don't think it is an issue. The idea of restriction was brought up in the thread in SD, but with the upgraded large tube header I really don't think it is an issue. I have my idle running as close to perfect as I can get it and am getting close on my running mix. See the album for the guage, and the sensor I got from a vendor I use and like on ebay called 'sixity' I really like the guage, but the vendor (actually the manufacturer) states in the add and in corespondance with me that a sensor is included with the guage but it did not include one. Other than saying sorry, they could not/would not make it right with me so they got a neutral rating from me.

After reading a thread over @ SD about the 150 AC systems, I think I am going to get a voltmeter and do some tests before I do this mod. My system (even with the LED mods) may not be up to the task. I know 35w is 35w, but all of the HID kits I have looked at are for DC systems and not for AC systems so will be drawing directly from the battery and not through the charging system. Thus, I need to make sure the charging system will keep up with the battery draw.

when I lowered my front end, I used 10 wt. to help the ride. took out 2" of spring, and put in about 2 tablespoons of oil in each fork.

bashan, no poblem, I didn't think it was an 'exclusive' thing. I thought maybe there was something wrong, or who knows what, but no big deal. as long as I get good input, I don't really care which board it is on.

I was going to post this over in the wheels/tires, etc. board, but it would not let me start a thread so here it is. Just wondering what a good interval for replacing my front disk pads, and rear drums is. I have a little over 4k miles on them now. I know it would depend on how much wear, but is there a good rule of thumb?

runningslow, post a good front pic of your lights. I bet you can work it in somehow. If you look on Ebay, there are a lot of round headlight car solutions that have the 'halo' built in. Of course that is not as fun as modding them yourself.
