The wires come directly off of the magenta wiring harness. and they connect near the harness to the starter solenoid.

1. What should the resting voltage of a scooter battery be?
2. From my magenta there is a connector and a pair of wires that are just connected by a male/female connector. How do these wire connect together? The connectors are broken. The wire colors are Blue/Yellow, Blue/white and 2 red/black wires. I am not sure if these were backwards but I need to replace them with new connectors.

Alright I jumped the solenoid and nothing happened it still clicked, so I believe it is the solenoid, I had it it turning over yesterday without it firing (because it was out of time), so i took it back down after watching the timing video) of which I understood very little) and today this. I think where I went wrong was I tried to jump start it with a car battery. Kicking it over isn't for the us old men. So I am going to look into the heavy duty starter

I turned the before I installed it engine and I removed the stater to see if it were bound up. and the start does not move neither in or out of the engine. Was thinking it was the stater solenoid.

Scooter has 2000 miles on it and I took the engine down last week, the head is stock, and the A14 cam has no miles on it. I did not buy a head to match the BBK because I thought I could use the stock one. Is there a special tool to remove the valve or can I use one that mechanics use for auto's

After getting the shimming gaskets and got everything straight. Now my main issue is that one of the valves is sticking open, I thought it was the A14 cam at first but I place the factory cam back in it and the same valve still sticks open. What do you think is the problem or the fix for the problem?

No scrap did not tel me anything other than I may need base gaskets to get the clearance I needed for the piston.
The chain has 94 links in it and yes I locked the piston was locked at TDC.
Could they have sent me the wrong chain? I caught hell getting the gear pressed onto the crankshaft and I know I am not interested in tackling that project again.

I bought the BBk from Scrappy dogg and a new 63mm case from Monster GY6. I bought an A14 and new chain as well. The piston comes out of the cylinder by just a little bit which is hitting the head. I did not buy a new head with this setup though it is in my plans to do so.
The chain is straight and everything is installed correctly but the piston is the issue at this point.
I am also using a +4 crank

There is a canister or vacuum canister and there are two huge tubes that run from it. Is there a way to remove this canister from the scooter? I know where one of the tubes come from but the other is a complete mystery. Since I an not figure out where this goes.

I just finished my 2oocc engine and I tried to crank to day and the engine is crashing. How many gaskets are usually needed to not hit the valves? As of right now I have 2 cork and 2 metal ones. Also I placed 2 cork gaskets between the case and the cylinder, and the other 2 between the head and the cylinder. Should I have placed the gaskets were I did or should they all go all between the head and cylinder? Complete noob trying to learn all he can about everything he can!!!
