Mine is a 2011 Kaitong Boccia. I changed the oil according to the owners manual, once at 600, then at 1000, and every 1000 miles since. I have not adjusted the valves but was reading about that since I found this forum. My next service according to my manual is a spark plug at 5000, and the CVT belt at 5000. I checked the CVT belt at 2500 miles like it said to and it was within the measurable tolerances the book gave. I ordered one from scooterbelts.com and have it in the garage at home ready to go. I am at 4200 miles now. This thing has been great for me, gets me to work everyday in all kinds of weather and temperatures. I just can't say enough great things about it.
I do worry about not being seen at night, but its a 55mph state hwy I took to get here, so I figured since I maintain 50mph easier than making it scream at 55 and 60 that I would travel at night when I wouldn't get in anyone elses way. It's a LONG flat road though so I went 55mph most of the way and it was about 6800rpm's doing that. I went about 90 miles at a time only stopping for gas. I wish it held more than 1.3 gallons though. Kinda annoying having the tiny gas tank, but there really isn't room for a bigger one LOL!

What a horrible week, my Aunt passed away last night at 8pm, so I left and made the trip back to Knoxville again without a problem thanks to my loyal Sidekick "BIG RED". Just a long weekend, cancer is so cruel....

Between stopping for gas, and eating, took me 4 hours I think, and about the 4.5 hours coming home. I rode at night when traffic was light and cruised 411 at 50mph. Not alot of gas stations open at night, so you had to get gas whenever you saw a place. 411 was pretty flat between ATL and KNOX so it wasn't bad.

LOL Ummmmm.... yeah and got 74mpg doing it It sure feels like its gonna give alot more miles.

By the way, its up to 4200 miles and still no problems knock on wood..... According to the owners manual I am due to change the CVT belt and Spark Plug at 5000 miles. I love reading the translated Chinese manuals

I made a 160 mile trip from Atlanta to Knoxville, TN thursday night to spend time with a family member who was sick in the hospital, I had no money for a car rental and decided it was worth taking the chance on getting there. The scoot got up there, got me around town while I was there, and made it 160 miles home today great. I took Hwy 411 all the way and its a nice ride, 55mph at times and I just moved over and let people pass as needed, but I maintained 55 on the flats and road it at night as to keep the bike cooler. I figured it would be easier at night since traffic would be minimal as well. It never ceases to amaze me what these little machines can do.... 410 miles total on the scoot in 4 days Those miles include running around up there, between my moms and the hospital, getting food and that kinda stuff as well.

Well let me tell you a few things based on my trike which is a 150cc AutoMoto. The weird scooter with a roof! Both my automoto trike and 150cc scooter will both handle 55mph just fine with me, but you lose about 10mph top end with a passenger or at least I do. My wife and I ride together quite a bit, but I also have a 650cc Honda Silverwing for that. All this said, I haven't ever ridden an Icebear 300cc trike, but my wife and I test rode a 400cc burgman together and it was struggling over 50mph which is what pushed me into the 650cc. Several years ago I had a Qlink Legacy 250cc scooter and it was basically not much more powerful than my 150's. It could hit about 65 but that was it. I hope this helps you somewhat.

Ok, I ended up going by Monstergy6 on my way home today and getting a new clutch and roughing the bell up as suggested. When I took the clutch out the pads were completely slick and have turned black. I don't know what the brake part cleaner did to them, but I won't ever be cleaning the case until the clutch / bell assembly is removed. I have always used it and seems to dry instantly, but this seems to be one case where it shouldn't be used.
Anyhow, an 18 mile ride tonight and this problem is fixed hooray!
I love that my office is only about 3 miles from MonsterGY6. Stephen is great and I love having a shop / parts store so close to home.

The Brake Part cleaner I think just ruined my clutch.... I just posted about it this morning, mine is slipping horribly after cleaning it with that.

Good Morning everyone!
I am learning a lesson the hard way it seems. I am now at 3500 miles on my little 150 scooter with the cheap belt still intact. I bought a new gates belt this weekend and decided to install it. I cleaned out the case with brake part cleaner and now my transmission is slipping badly. The first few miles of the ride it would jerk on takeoff but seemed to be ok once it was moving but after 20 miles it was hard to get started off the line. Revs racing up to 5000 and 6000 RPMS and the bike is slowly moving until about 25 or 30mph then its normal for the most part. If I give it gas to get up a hill, revs up, speed starts dropping again.
I now read on here not to use the brake part cleaner in the CVT so my question is this, how do I clean this up? I suspect the clutch shoes / bell are where the slipping is occurring as I don't think the belt would have lasted 60 miles yesterday if it was slipping that bad. Do I just have to replace these parts now or is there something I can do to salvage this?

Is your battery under the floor mat in the compartment like mine is? I had to seal that up because it will fillip with water and short the battery out when it rains like that. Also, I drilled a hole in the bottom of it to so water could drain out if any gets in.

Well for what appears to be no reason at all this muffler weld just broke on my way home last night on the automoto. It actually sounds pretty beefy now and seemed to have more power going home. Anyone had success welding this Chinese metal or am I pretty much just doomed and have to replace it? I wouldn't mind leaving it like this lol... Not sure if it would hurt the engine though, its a good ways from the header so maybe not. The Chinese exhaust systems aren't the greatest, I've had problem on other bikes I've own with the exception of the big canister exhaust on my red one. No troubles with it in 3500 miles.

Will do man. I haven't had it long, but so far I love it. I have freaked a few people out when they see it lean. They think I am falling over LOL

That Piaggio MP3 is a nice bike, they had a few used ones at World of Wheels last weekend when I was there. I would imagine two wheel in the front would take some getting used to, but the automoto really didn't take me long at all.
