That is literally the WORST seller on ebay by experience. Your going to have problems show within the first 100 miles, or your rings are going to get worn for no reason. Don't but it!

Your starter button is stuck or shorted, replace it. ^^^ Thats for sure your problem unless you have a wiring problem witch I doubt. The switch is cheap and fairly easy to replace

i dont think Rich was insulting your intellect,,,,,he was trying to get some background,,,if the cover was cracked and on top of it the stator was exposed and got nasty i would have done exactly the same thing,,,i probably would save the old one as a spare,,,and i'm glad you got it sorted it out Never thought he was. I just felt dumb for not noticing the bulbs blew.

Why did you replace the right cover? Also, why a new stator if everything was OK? I'm just trying to get some history.
Unless your bike was rewired the tail light is DC off of the ignition switch...it's a DOT law. So is the horn and turn signals. If your stator pig is GYW the yellow is AC to the headlights and the white is dedicated to charging the battery. If you tested those wires hooked up to the R/R those values are OK. If the pig is unplugged they are anemic.
Since you're having multiple voltage issues I'd check and make sure the battery has a good frame ground along with a good engine ground. Replaced the cover because it cracked and broke where the exhaust mounts and covers the stator. Replaced the stator because it was dirty and greasy from being exposed. The bike has never been re-wired and the tail light only comes on when the the bike is on, and when i adjust idle really low it dims out. Break light stays strong unless the the battery is unplugged. All my other bikes tail lights come on when the key is turned. Oh and I fixed the problem. Don't judge my intelligence, but the bulbs blew. No clue why or when but at some point in time all the lights blew.

No, I planned on getting one when I got this though. I just wanted to avoid any potential oil leak problems.

Engine swap

Sounds like a problem within the wiring harness. I had a harness go bad at it started to knock out all my electrical components. In a period of 5 months it took out 3 cdi's 1 voltage reg, and over 3 stators. The stators strted going toward the end. One day it started misfiring, then lost power the sounded like it was firing randomly not triggered to, then it went back to normal, lost power and died. literally killed every stator I put on it after that. I would change it and it would run for maybe 10 miles each time before it started going slower and slower then was too week to start next time I tried....
Point being if you tried an engine, but it worked on the other guy's frame not yours, then its something on your frame. Judging by the symptoms I would say there is a serious defect in your harness. You can get new ones for around 45 bucks and since your bike is new it would be fairly easy to find a match for your bike.
Assuming you changed the spark plug, cdi, spark plug wire and boot, ignition coil, and carb already.

I know a 52mm piston will fit on a 139qmb, but will a stock cylinder and head from a 152qmj work on a 139qmb?
