If you want a quick FREE easy way to let air flow free"er" simply take out the exhaust gasket. It will allow the exhaust to leak a little providing the same effect s drilling only reversible.

For some reason, the stock carb always seems to make the bike run best, its just annoying not being able to adjust it.. What method did you use to remove the cap?

Sounds like the float is stuck or needs it be adjusted. The bike is almost 11 years old has been sitting and has been ran without an air filter. Perhaps its time for a new carb?

On a stock engine all your doing is loosing back pressure. The only time you need to need to let more air out is when you physically change something create more air going out.
Think of your home vacuum cleaner. Its sucks air in and filters it with a bag, and blows it out of its exhaust port. widening the exhaust port will not make air suck in faster or speed up the cleaning process.
Now think about having an upgraded blower motor physically sucking/pushing the air faster. Opening the ports will allow the "extra" air to flow freely, but would just decrease velocity without the added force

I got rid of all the heads. The tach on my other bike with almost identical mods read up to 10,000. it went past that. Judging by the space between the intervals I would say it maxed out around 12,500 up a slight incline going 50. I use these bikes for transportation, but at the same time I know i'm abusing them. Its fun testing the limits and i'm prepared for failure.

I got a bad kit off ebay and when I first put it on everything went well. around 100 miles after it started loosing power and eventually stooped starting. I was able to adjust the valves a couples times and squeeze around 30 miles out of it each time. Eventually I noticed the valve wouldn't adjust above .002 even with the screw out. Eventually it lost almost all compression. Put stock head on and its fine. Checked the old one and valve seat on the exhaust valve looked rough. What happened? lol and what caused it? it was a 50mm kit. Put stock head back on and everything is fine. I ride it hard daily. Got other heads and big valve head at really good prices when I complained(Go Figure), and they all had the same result. Ran really good to start and quickly died. I ride it at really high rpm. At what rpm do the valves usually float?

Your last post says it all about you really, what a sad illiterate little boy you must be. After all the posts you have put up on here and all the help you have received, you have learnt nothing have you. Like I said my old bike I basically built runs nice, and my new bike is good, so BYE. Like I said. Your bored, i'm just asking questions my common sense later tells me the answers too. Think to your self, "If i'm not helping then why am I here"............. Enough said

Thanks for taking care of this Alley. We like to run a pretty loose forum around here where not too many things are verboten. But that definitely went over the line. I get PMs from kids all the time. So those kinds of things are read by children too. Just keep that in mind when you're posting. Rich Again if your not helping then why post?
