Davec, I know Al and we have talked many times and you are so right in what you have said. I don't know how I did what I did back than but seen enough to know many had it a lot worse than I. Meaningless?? Joke??? Was for God and Country. Magoo Kinda like the story of the man with no shoes. He thought he had it bad, till he met a man with no feet. We did what we did back then cause that's what we were told to do. And how we were trained. We did our job. And we are the MEN we are today because of it. Be it Sit, Stand or Walk tall.

,i will refrain from using that 3 letter word, i didn't know that it was so sacred here in the US... Yes, being a VET is sacred. Having served, being injured, or killed, for your country , is VERY sacred. Ask any Gulf War vet, or Vietnam Vet, or WWII vet The name VET, should be self explanatory. But, feel free to use the word "VET" but use it wisely, and with respect.

There ya go, got me thinking again If I had a CF Moto 250, and the kit, I could have another trike. At a cost of less than what I paid for my Zodiac. BUT, there is NOTHINHG out there that looks as good as the ZODIAC. (Sorry Alley, not dissin your trike) In fact, Jim called me, to tell me a guy from Pitt Pa wants to drive to Ohio to Look and sit on my trike. Damn!! Guy must be serious.

and people are still patronizing them, people like, the vets..LOL,,,teasing you guys,,dont get mad. Now, if you wanted to call me OLD, Disabled, unable to walk 'Normally', you might have a case, but to bring it to the VET territory, you done crossed over the line. I have people form my old forum www.thesabrehood.org tell me how amazed they are that after just 11 months after my accident, I'm back on a bike/trike/scooter. I, too, was falling a lot. (still do) I quit working on the cars, now, I'm back in the garage, laying on the floor,(which is kinda funny watching a one legged guy sit down, and get up to go get another tool) wrenching/maintaining/enjoying life. And, the 'don't get mad' part, ain't a get outa jail free card. I think you got some splaining to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said it before, I did 25 years active duty 69 - 94 words can not explain where i been and what i seen Alley has even more experience/war/horror stories than any of us here. So, back the F off and, like Alley said, rethink what you said.

i am really wondering and puzzled, WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT CHINESE SCOOTERS? ? oh i know, maybe you like the cheap price? it's being colorful and shiny? or you simply just want to prove yourselves and everyone in this forum that you can fix and that you are mechanically inclined? you dont care about quality and safety. my goodness! cant believe you guys. ,, morphous is an almost perfect scooter, how could you not like it? think again! I like my Chinese scoot because: 1. There ain't NOT ONE of the US or Japanese mfgrs that make a trike without having to do a conversion. 2. I din't have to spend $25K - $32K to get a trike. Granted, I can't do 85mph down the road, but it get's me back on the road 3. I didn't have to buy a Yamaha, and then spend another $4K on a conversion kit to make it a trike. 4. With proper and normal Preventative Maintainence, this chinese trike should serve me wonderfully 5. Parts accessability; Well, I'll find that out when the time comes, and hopefully that won't be for a while 6. It's purdy 7. It's a chick magnet 8. I still got money left over for other things 9. It's got 3 wheels (which is what I need for now) 10. Did I mention it didn't cost $10K, $20K $30K? 11. And, Yes, I'm a VET, And my VA disability check helped pay for the thing. (Those that NEVER served their country will NEVER know what it feel's like)

See what I mean here is a guy using Marvel Mystery Oil and he also swears by it. It is all in the mind of the beholder. Take some folks that put on a Performance LOUD muffler the brain tells them the sucker is a rocket now, when in reality it is just making a lot of noise and making them deaf. Alleyoop In the motorcycle world, we did a comparison (dyno) in HP after switching out a stock muffler system (Honda Shadow) with a 2 into 2 exhaust system We LOST 3 HP.

how did you retract the piston? i think u did it the wrong way, the pistons on the yamahas need to be turned clockwise to retract. I found out that that's how the caliper piston in my girlfriends mustang is retracted. Takes a special tool and it slowly screws in. very frustrating at the time I know now

dave, those 2 scooters i have are genuine yamaha morphous from JAPAN. even the smallest part is japan made. hmmm, uhm perhaps not the coolant, some coolants nowadays are made from china(melamine extract) the rest are crisp genuine parts. Luke Yea Yea, we all know of your disdain for anything other than Japanese. In fact, I love Japan also. I was stationed there for 4 years, loved the people, the lifestyle, their cars, countryside, the entire country. (was stationed close to where the nuclear site is/was/blew up/destroyed/etc) But, I do like the Yamaha Morphus, and was just clarifying that's what you have, since I'm a newbie here. You, personally, really should lighten up on those of us who don't have a Yamaha BTW: I've got some Japanese bikes also (Goldwing/Shadow Sabre and what's left of the Magna) And, I know you're just wanking everyones chain, as you couldn't be as big an arse as Alley says you are. Either way, I was just commenting on your JAPANESE scoot. Nice, if I had 2 working legs, I'd get one. Dave out

Luke Is that the Yamaha Morphus/clone? I just really like those things (A man can't say he LOVES an inamanant object, but I love me VW Bus, and my Caddy Fleetwood, and my goldwing, and my Ranchero, and my Sabre, and my dog) And as soon as I get two legs that work, and $2500, me gonna get one.
3level Nice job of upgrades and dong it in the house. But, once the GF becomes the wife, you're back in the garage with the Chevy.

HAHAHA, Finally someone notices, that is why I get on his behind got to once in a while. Alleyoop Yea, I picked up on that right away. I like pushing buttons tho, so thought I'd see how far he would go. But, I don't get into name calling, bashing, 'my dad can beat your dad' stuff. I'm here to learn, meet folks, see new scoots, as, I've been into bigger bikes since I started riding years ago. We all know why I'm here now, and I'm really kinda getting into this scoot thing. I still got the Wing, and the Shadow, and may some day ride em again. But, for getting around town, short trips, or that late evening ride (what I call the "Loop"), around the city. about a 25 mile ride of making right hand turns, it's the greatest. And, if this trike (which finally gets delivered today, between 1 - 4, turns out to be a chick magnet, it'll pay for itself. (OK, I can dream, can't i??) Dave out

Luke is a major china hater lol. I kinda gathered that, but at some point his constant "my japanese scoot is better than your Chinese scoot" has gotta stop. We get his personal bias. It seems he's always looking for an argument Oh well, every forum has one Kinda like dealing with children Thanx

dave if you only bought a japanese scoot, we should not be having this discussions right now. and we shouldnt need a fixing forum like this because there's nothing to fix at all on a japanese scoots.. my goodness! japanese scooters: 90% pure riding 10% maintenance/little fixing here and there. chinese scooter: it's the other way around am i right or am i right ?dave?? I have three other japanese bikes, and I do little maint. But they cost 12,000 8,000 and 5,000 ($25K) (Goldwing/shadow/Magna) I paid 3999 for my chinese trike ,of which I need a trike cause I'm handicapped and can't ride a two wheel scoot and a new goldwing trike costs 32K, a used trike costs 15 - 20K and I don't wanna spend that much right now. And there is no one else who makes a trike for less, except icebear. Now, the next argument is to buy a good used maxiscoot, and trike it, which puts me back at 10K. Or, spend 4 - 5K for a voyager kit, But spending 5K to trike a 3K used wing isn't cost effective. Me guessing me be $$$ ahead at the end anyhoo. Even if I blow an engine a year from now, I'll stll be money ahead. I may have to tighten a screw/nut/bolt occasionally, but, I do that on my cars also. But, as you are soo pro japanese and so anti chinese, we'll never agree. I'm not arguing. I agree Japanese are less maint, and higher cost And Chinese is lower cost, and nore maint, but parts are cheaperalso. So, we'll never agree Apples/orange Now, it's a nice day...go ride
