Depending on how it's wired, one bad bulb can take out an entire circuit. And how much is on that one circuit? Do you have a multi-meter? You need one. It will answer so many questions for you without ripping the entire thing apart. Also, get and keep some spare bulbs.

They used to be POS but they are getting better. Just don't skip any maint or it'll go south pretty quickly.

On top like that, the filter would drain with the rest of it. A few drops when you lift it off. A quick swipe with a baby wipe and presto!

Had one like that about 40 years ago. It was a kit. Buy the frame and source your own engine and other parts. Don't recall that it had a name.

Get a tube or ten of Loctite. It will save your peace of mind.

How come last week you said that was a pre-heat for fuel Alley? Huh? HUH?
LOL Guys, Alley knows his stuff. He builds bikes in his sleep. I'd go with him on this one. I'd go with him on most of what he says actually. Every now and then he gets lost, but then he takes his meds and turns friendly again. LOL

I've had two Chino scoots. Both of them did nothing but give me headaches. As soon as I got one thing fixed, something else would break. I was forever fixing them and they spent more time getting worked on than being ridden.
Did I just happen to get the ones made on Friday at 4:30 pm? Possibly, but that doesn't explain the overall crappiness of them.
I saw a Helix clone the other day and except for wiring issues, it's running. It's still got issues, but it's a better built bike overall than what I had. Chino.
It's more the luck of the draw with them and so far the deck is stacked against you. As time goes by, which it has a habit of doing, it will get better. But I just didn't feel like waiting. Now, I ride Jap bikes and I'm as happy as a clam in muddy water.

I'm just raggin on China because they made so much crap that it's come back to bite them in the backside. They have been getting better over time, but because they were so prolific in the beginning, they have a huge mass of junk floating around giving them a bad name. It's going to take them 20 years to overcome it.
If I could actually get my hands on a NEW bike from them, not a 2005 that's been sitting in the warehouse for 10 years waiting to get bought then things would be different.

Could be a fuel line pre heat. Run the gas thru it to heat it up before actually sending it into the carb.

You should be able to get shocks pretty easy for it. Check Tucker Rocky.

Dave, at that rate it only cost you what? $1.03?
Sorry man, cyborg made me do it. Pete was afraid you'd come run him over if he said it.

You have correctly diagnosed the cause. Now, how do you think you might fix it?
hint: Go to the library here and get the wiring diagram for your bike. Do you have a multimeter? if no, then get one. $8.99 at Home Depot or WalMart. You're going to need it.

Yeah, I'm not overly impressed with their oil system, but hey, it was another one of my 'stealer deals'. And it IS an extra comfy bike.
