You know I have to make these jokes to people smart enough not to try this stuff at home. LOL

but it is around 3 gallons. 3 Gallons per light fixture? Sweet. Between those and the regular tank you should get quite a distance before you need to fill up again.

I had to laugh. I was under my 07 V Star today trying to figure out where the stupid voltage regulator is. My battery was swollen and my Wrench saw it and immediately had me toss it in the 'Bomb' can. He has a super duty steel trash can he tosses things in he thinks might go boom. Well, no boom, but I finally found the Regulator. Stupid thing is hanging under the battery on a housing you need to pull the bottom exhaust off to get at.
What kind of mental midget came up with THAT design. Oh, I know, the same one that made it so you have to take the pipes off to get to the oil filter. Somedays you just wanna slap somebody.
So, my next major purchase is a relocation kit that puts the oil filter out where it can actually be gotten to.
Other than that, I'm loving my V Star. Still miss the Nighthawk, but oh well....

See, my problem is that they have so many of those china scoots back stocked somewhere that they won't be selling actual 'New' scoots for some time yet. I'd go with the Kymco. Sure, it cost more, but you pays your money and you takes your chances.

I've used old style Crust Teeth Paste for years but it's getting almost impossible to find now. Just did my wifes headlights about a month ago. They look new. Too bad they don't match the rest of the vehicle anymore....

Half of them can't read or make change anyway. And when's the last time you saw a machine pick up a burger off the floor and put it back to be served?

I'd still remove the evap system just because it sux. Sux power right out of your bike. There are really detailed instructions here in the library for doing just that. Word of warning; Label everything with some masking tape as you take it apart even if you think you won't need it again. Makes putting things back together much easier.

The real problem is that you overfilled your tires. Drill a vent hole.... Wait... No... Ummm... What he said. LOL

You really have to put some muscle into it. I put a buffing pad on my dremel and then a bit of toothpaste. Works like a charm.

I use a kitchen timer and some fake explosive. Nobody gets near my bike while I'm gone. Only problem is I always have to fight my way thru a bunch of Cops for some reason. Weirdos.

I like your enthusiasm. This would be a great project, but realize with that particular bike as a base to build on your going to be doing a lot of replacing and re-building. BUT, by the time you get it done, it will be totally sweet and likely sell for a few thousand. Personally, I'd get a BBK and have the block blueprinted as well.

I love road trips. And so does Cyborg.
If you can carry a few spare fuses and stuff with you, then go for it. Just not alone. And have a breakdown bus following you. Depending on how far your going.

Novus or old style toothpaste (not the gel). If it's bad, buy a new one. They're cheap.

I would start with a different bike unless you are doing one of those, "What can we build from scrap" shows...

Same here. This one went right on over my glasses without a hitch. That sold me on it even though it was a gift.
