i just bought a new engin for my 150cc jonway scooter an im running a AC charging system an my engin is Dc so wat do i need to do to fix this problem i cant send the engin back is there away to change the some of the parts on the engin or use my old cdi an reg will that help i had no idea it was DC i just found out im running this AC system it keep blowing the bulbs in my head lights a guage i put the cdi that came from the engin an everything blow but the blinkers an the brake lights Start a new thread, include year make and any info you have. pictures of the regulators and the harness. If it's ac cdi it's two inputs, DC is only one.

It could be that posts/threads move quick. I made a mistake on roller weight on a gts and man did I get clobbered. Bad karma, a reminder across my screen. My banner in my signature was frowned upon. Then I started to help others, things improved. Seems like the guys that answer the phones at the dealers are posting there. Every thread there is someone that encourages posters to bring it to the dealer or only use OEM parts. and so on.............

see if you getting battery voltage at the stator wires key on an off. with the regulator disconnected.

stronger battery and larger wires to the battery.
I find with my 150cc below 4/40 degrees I had a hell of a time to get it started. I had to go with a larger pilot jet. Another thing I do want to add is that when it would sit several days, it would sometimes need to be primed to start. or kill a battery cranking to get the fuel moving.
I have seen an ignition coil pass a visual spark test, but be the cause of hard starts.

jump negative battery, green wire on cdi, ignition coil, stator, frame and engine. see if it helps.
