It could probably be done, but as Gmoney said, you'll be stuck with a single speed.
Correct me if I'm wrong.... Trikes, ATVs and Buggies that use a GY6, still use the same belt driven CVT, usually a short case model. (I have one in my garage from an ATV... don't ask me why) However, instead of mounting a wheel on the CVT's output shaft like a scooter, a sprocket or gearbox is placed there that will drive a chain to the rear axle. The same goes for the 250cc models.

Maybe they only update at certain terminals? ?? That's what I'm hoping, but it only says it arrived in Phoenix! It doesn't say anything about leaving Phoenix.

Fedex is telling me an estimated Delivery Date of Sept 9 (tomorrow), but according to the tracking info its still sitting in Phoenix, AZ??? It has said that since last week. Something tells me that Fedex Ground from Phoenix to Florida will take more than 24 hours. I'm hoping that someone just forgot to scan it before it left Phoenix.....

When I asked about rain and helmet visors at the MSF course, everyone said don't use it on clear plastic. I've used Rain-X on my helmet before with no ill effects... but I think I'm going to stop that now..

Josh - about that broken "stud" for the fork cover. You might try what I just did. Find a plastic bottle cap that's close to the right size. Epoxy it on to the broken part, I used Lock-tite expoxy Use some Bondo to fill it out some. When it's dry, carefully drill a hole for the bolt. Hmm.. that's not bad idea. I was thinking of using some epoxy putty, but your way sounds easier. I'm going to need to get some epoxy for the repairs on the belly pan anyway. Will bondo stick to this plastic? I'm thinking about using some epoxy putty on the front fender after sanding away the deformed plastic, but if Bondo would work I may use that. I honestly haven't gotten anything done on the body... its just been way too hot in the garage to even think about it. I think I'll leave most of the body repair for the cooler months so I can paint without having to worry about the humidity.

Try Lowes. I found a nice selection metric bolts in the fastener drawers, including some exhaust bolts I had to replace.

Nice!!! See my new post in the custom section about what I am going to do with your parts!!! Can't wait to see what you do with this one!! Looking forward to following your post! I hope those parts are going to work out for you! I'm still trying to decide what to do with the rest of the old motor: Trash it or rebuild it. I may just crate it up and hold onto it for now until I can decide. It would probably make for a nice project: 4 valve head, 63mm BBK, +4mm stroker crank, performance variator & clutch, EFI.... </daydream> I can't wait to get this beast running again! I had hoped to get it before the long Labor Day weekend, but estimated delivery date is Sept 8th, so barring any difficulties... I should be able to get it together next weekend. ;D

after having bought several times from him, if you use his ebay site, I don't think there is a need for further discount, I guess I mean I don't think he could discount stuff much more than it is. his prices are crazy already and service is top notch! I agree. His prices are superb and I don't think he can go much lower. I just completed an order with him. I am waiting for the product to arrive, but his service has been exemplary so far.

An eight month nap is probably going to have impact on your battery. I would start by checking and cleaning the grounding locations and get the battery on the charger away from your work location. Remember AC power is the last thing connected and the first thing disconnected. Thanks for the input, but I'm not too worried about the battery. It may be a problem, but we'll see. See, shortly before my scoot went on the long term disabled list, I was having some charging issues, so I had bought a battery tender and a second battery. During the downtime, I've been rotating my battery tender between the two batteries. I'm definitely going to go give the wiring a good look over, though. That should be pretty easy since most of the plastic is off anyway.

Here's another bump for my thread (gotta keep it on the first page ), with what will probably be a dumb question... As the whole world is probably aware by now, I will have my new motor soon. So, once I start reassembling the bike, what problems should I anticipate after sitting for 8 months? Anything in particular that I should check? Should I just plan to (re)do a full PDI?

I just found those saddle bags at my local Wal-Mart today. I didn't buy them, but I do know where I can find them, now.

The only questions I'm getting lately are things like... "What happened to Sasha?" "Where's your motorcycle?" "You ever going to get that Chinese POS fixed?" Nope, they sure don't. I get a lot of stares and then they keep their distance, that's fine by me, I don't want to hear the stupid crap anyhow. Rich, I think if I came across you on that scooter, my questions to you would be like.... Do you ride naked, too? Why don't you put some clothes on that poor scooter? ;D What WAS that bike? All joking aside... its looks good!
