My roketa 54B 250 cc has about 750 miles on him now. So I think Fred is past the break in point. Someone on this forum once said gas milage would be better after the break-in. On 2.5 gal of gas I am only getting about 80 miles. (80 miles per tank). I was expecting better mileage than that. Is this average? Or should I be getting more?

Well, I finally got the windshield sent to me around June 12th. All is now working properly. I am no longer needing anything from superiorpowersports.
Will I order from them again? I don't know. I have heard a lot of bad about other internet sites, like scrappy dog. Sites that take your money and never even send the product. So from that standpoint, maybe I would order again. I did get my bike at a dirt cheap price and even though it took 3 months to get parts, at least I got them. So I can't say that they give good service, but I can say the honor their committments. oops just read another thread where scrappy dog was highly rated. Seems these sites all mess up at some point or another.

wow, from what I read, I wouldn't trust them at all. So sorry about your Dad. He is a little older than me (6 years) and so I can relate to what he is going through. It's too bad there are so many unscrupulous business people on the net. Hope it all works out for you and your dad. I would definitely be writing the better business bureau about this lack of refund. I would lean on pay pal a little harder also. After all, your dad paid for something and he doesn't have the money or the product now. Pay pal has a help section that describes actions they take in situations like this. I don't know if it works or not because I have never used pay pal for a large purchase. Man, you need to go after these people anyway you can.

Also PM'd.

I like the fact that it is water cooled. Some trikes are air cooled. I wouldn't want to say if you should carry or not. But I will say that when I can no longer ride a bike (due to old age?), I would consider one of these. Top speed is only 65 though. Is this thing highway legal? Don't know that I would want to try it on interstates.

89newbie, You should take this down because it is not a good idea to publish your vin number in public. Maybe a better way to go would be to email cookees or ccprof.

yea, Ain't it great! I was riding just behind a storm yesterday. On me and behind me it was sunny and bright, but about a block ahead of me it was dark, ominous, cloudy and raining like the duckens. And the funny thing was, the storm was moving about the same speed that I was so it stayed a block ahead of me the whole way home. It was really a neat thing to experience. About a half hour after I put my bike in the garage, a huge barrage hit, the water was coming down so hard, I thought it would put a hole in the roof, and the wind was wild! I felt all comfy cosy in my house as the torrent raged outside. But that ride was so neat. I doubt that will ever happen again to me in my lifetime.

I pray for your safety. You live on the "rim of fire" and I really am worried about you. I have heard it said that many small earthquakes are a good thing because they release the pressure under the plates. If you went for a long time without small earthquakes, you would have one huge devestating one. Whether this is true or not, I don't know. But it does make sense to me. Anyway, you are in my prayers.

Does not sound like a day I would want to experience. I hope I never do. Those tornadoes were awful. Smorkle, I am glad you and your bike finally made it home. and running slow: I hope your family members recover quickly and can rebuild quickly (what a heartbreak)!

bobf, you sound like a carbon copy of me. Started out on a 150 on small neighborhood roads in a housing plan. Took course at motorvehicles, passed, practiced riding on larger roads, got a 250. Wise way to do it, I think. I ride everywhere now. I didn't go out on regular roads until accelerating and braking were done without having to think about it. Because, on a scoot, you have to pay extra attention to what everyone else is doing.

Last year, on my 150 cc scoot, everyone on 2 wheels waved, or returned my wave. Now, on my 250, I have noticed that some HD riders ignore me when I wave. They keep their heads straight ahead and do NO eye contact. Seem like a very stuck up bunch. But all scooter drivers wave to each other.
I went to my churches motorcycle club meeting this weekend, and everyone, even the HD's were friendly. I was the only scooter there. I was surprised when at least 5 people (at different times made comments to the good. 5 people told me they had been wanting to get 250 cc scoots! All liked my bike.

ok- back to the bike itself. I noticed something about this new kymco that I didn't notice in the older models and the 250 model. It has no leg room. Very little room there to change leg position. I would get stiff on a long ride. And the price is definitely too high
