Update : I torqued down the head nuts as recomended . Was 18 ft/lbs too much ? I also adjusted the valve gap space on the rocker arm assembly . It was well over .007 before I did the adjustments to .005. The rocker arms were a tad bit loose ( most likely reason for the chatter I was getting). Tomorrow will be the big test. Im going to ride to a near by town and back and will be checking my spark plug incase I need to adjust the carb. The head nuts did need the adjustment aswell. Now if only the weather would be more cooperative ! Bill C.

>:(I am looking for a clear photo showing exactly where the flywheel timing mark is supposed to line up with the mark on the outer crankhousing !! I checked google and found nothing that showed me what I am looking at ! I have a 150cc 157qmj . Am I supposed to line up the timing mark at the F marking or T marking on the flywheel ? Bill C.

I'll try the torque wrench option first. I may still run the a9 cam to see what performace upgrade if any is happening . Would a 59mm cylinder upgrade help ? Bill C.

My scooter is once again running after being torn down most of the week. The cylinder base gasket (one inbetween the cylinder assy and crankcase) is leaking. Do I replace now or try oil stop leak stuff ? 2 local shops have the gasket that would be needed. It's not drip drip drip but anoying none the less. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Bill C.

Property manager forced me to get scooter running immediatley or face getting evicted for having scooter apart in the parking lot. There simply isn't any time to get case machined now. I'll have to stick with an almost stock engine with an a9 cam for a couple more months . The plan now is to buy a machined out case and build a new bigger engine to my specs as funds permit. It has been a good learning expierence . Now I understand the engine's mechanics and what's needed to build a new engine. I have the cylinder and new piston to start the project with atleast ! Welcome to the forum !! Is the engine kill switch off ? Next I would check for spark. Thats where I would start. There are a bunch of good knowlagable scooter "nuts" who can help you get to the bottom of this quickly !! I have been learning quite abit from them. Just keep asking questions! Even if they are small ones. I am actually rebuilding my scooters engine right now. I'll keep my reply short ! Good luck ! Bill
