I just re-ran the stator wire tests . The dark black-red was only putting out 31v AC . the redwhite(blue white?) wasn't putting anything out voltagewise in AC . Final conclusion , dead Stator ? Bill C.

Ok time to ask yet another d@$$ question. If the stator was going bad, would it keep the battery from properly charging ?(a/e not enough voltage being produced by the stator assy that goes to the voltage regulator to keep the battery charged while running )?Especially at night ? Bill

Rich ,I ran the tests you suggested this evening. My final conclusion after running all the tests was that my CDI is definatly toast ! My killswitch checked out ok as did my ignition switch. I had plenty of voltage coming from the 2 wires coming from the stator as well ! Now I have to wait till payday to get my scoot back up. Bill C

Not sure whats going on . Sometimes I have spark then suddenly I don't when using starter . Engine is getting fuel . I replaced the sparkplug . It ran ok then suddenly as I got home I can't get it started . Engine turns over ok . CDI ? Coil ? I am trying to relocate my original cdi and coil assy to see if it is one of those two .Any help would be much appreciated. Bill C.

spins freely ? What engine type ? 150 ? Broken timing chain means bent valves . Only way to truely find out what happened to it is to disassemble the engine . Could be piston issue if head is ok. Bill C.

If it the leftside (longer case part where belt transmission mech is) you will need to pull the outer cover and the entire variator assy and gear off to get at the seal. If its on the right outer crank case the flywheel will need to be taken off with a flywheel puller to get at that sides seal. You will need an 8mm socket with extension for the bolts on both sides aswell as a 10mm and a phillips screwdriver for the outter cooling shell that is around the engine and also for the fan on the flywheel. An electrical 1/2" impact wrench is a lifesaver getting off the nut that holds the variaitor on. This is a good forum for getting help ! No dumb questions to worry about either ! Bill C.

What combo would be best for my roketa. I have a 150cc 157qmj longcase thats getting a 61mm cylinder upgrade within a couple of weeks. I want the best combo for top end since I ride country roads occassionaly with 50+ mph speedzones. I want max topend without using full throttle .Any help would be much appreciated. Bill C.
