Do you let it warm up or does this happen when you take off when its Cold. Just sound like all you need to do is Adjust your Air/Fuel mixture, it is not running good at lower rpms. Alleyoop Air Fuel has the cap on it.

Carb?

To pinpoint what could be causing your problem, need a little more in detail what is happening. Does it Bog or hesitate when you give it throttle does the engine make a BOGGing sound or the engine runs good. Or when your riding it sort of lurchs forward and backwards OR when your riding the engine itself slows down and then speeds up. Different ways the scooter is acting point to different things that need attention. Alleyoop Not WOT its when starting out kind of like a closed choke. at about 5 to 550 then O.K. again.

Carb?

How many ccs in your engines, that makes a big difference on what carb you put on. I'd first get the stock running right before you start throwing different parts at it, it doen't sound like it's malfunctioning that badly. Flat spots are a big red flag for vac leaks, check all your lines, intake manifold, and fittings, I had a bad coill cause the same problem once, you can ohm out a coil, it's in the tech section, but I like to keep a good coil around for testing purposes. Rich have done it all. My thought is time to quit foolin with it beause Im changing exhaust to match. Time is money and if Im going there why not?

HAving a problem with flat spots. then good. Ordering a new intake fitting, at the same time considering an 18 MM carb upgrade. Question is when I do the other things to the engine is this the carb I would want of a bigger one. Any help would be appreciated.

I think it matters what rpm you are at, at wide open throttle. Bone stock scooter probably can sustain WOT with restrictive airbox and muffler. If you add a bbk, performance camshaft, upjet, add a uni better cdi and exhaust you will be able to overcome more wind resistance increasing top speed and rpm of operation and heat produced. May be too much to ask of a china engine. If you made all those mods WOT would not be needed.

China is a world economy. They have been excellent at making these bikes cheaper by using lower dollar materials and utilizing their labor rates. This has allowed them to capture market share thus gaining a foothold in the world economy. After viewing videos on some home sites these manufacturers have invested heavy bucks in R&D, to build these units.Next step will be to improve the product, go bigger and better, at increased selling prices. I remember back in the 60's when a 500 Suzuki, then a fledgling was 1/3 the cost of a 450 Honda. I see the cheap moped situation as a move to capture market share, just as others have done to get a spot in the game. This has been done by other industries and works well. Am I nuts or do I have the trend correct?

Reading and watching adds it seems there are stocks of 2008 Mopeds out there. Since I was a Harley freek in 2008, I have no idea what a Moped was selling for then. I wonder how much more a brand new 2008 costs now than in 2008. $ ideas folks? Next thought is if this keeps up will prices jump on units as the New Old stock is depleated?

For some reason it all wasnt there, If you can locate national supplier they have tech help, or do you think its just an age related thing associated with the constant upgrades that are done? Before I would start cutting and snipping it might be possible to change staror and keep on mopin.

Ok, we now need another fan in front of the fan on the stator to push the air into the pulling fan on the stator. We are dealing with what we have and you think air passing by something is going to bring in more air than if pointing something into the air stream. Maybe the airplane engines should have the fans on the side to prevent the birds from going into it and damaging them. Alleyoop LOL you just reminded me of flightline in the winter, engine wringout and check and us smartasses chuckin Big snowballs in the airflow of the engine.Drives the operator nuts RPM exhaust temp etc rofl

No matter what the vehicle I always buy the biggest battery that will fit. Warranties are better and they last and last and last. Also if you get into a hard stat situation the smaller battery will heat up faster and possibly warp the plates, causing a short life it.
