On the three sites I go to I have never seen a complaint on Scrappy engines. If the bike is O.K. otherwise I would go for it if they have one to fit and you have the $$$ to do it right. Don't get into the position of paying 1/2 toward a new bike if there are other problems. You probably can sell the current bike for at least 1/2 what you paid for this one and then the extra monies can go toward a new one. Keep in mind the newer ones are a little better than the old ones.

Life continues to amaize me. If you truely think the Juice is worth the sqeeze go for it. As far as a hydrogen generator to produce gas to heat your home, interesting. As a former HVAC person this will work, if you have the correct furnace. If you have one that reads M.P. you will no doubt have some problems.

what I would like to see is a small scooter with flat floor boards, probably air cooled that could be ridden on 55mph highways with some head room so it did not have to be ridden WOT. A 150 gy6 just don't cut it, they are happy with a 45 mph road. I am thinking maybe around 200cc would do the trick. some thing like that would not have to sell for much more than a gy6 is priced today. john any one who has laid a case of coke across the floor boards for a trip home will know why I like flat floor boards to say nothing of comfort. As Dave on Storage wars says YYYYEEEPPPPP! Best use for flat floor boards I ever saw was an older gentleman, lol not as old as me, with a five gallon bucket fll of catfish and his pole strapped on the 50 CC bike. He was happy as a lark and thrilled he could get 90+ MPG to go fishin. ( He also explaine he now leaves his 4x4 at home to go fishin because he can push the scoot out of the mud getting to his secret fishin hole instead of calling a tow truck.

It reminds me of when Letterman had that teenage kid try to parallel park on that crowded New York street knowing he was doomed to humiliation. The guy is a self absorbed jerk that thinks other's failures are entertainment; apparently millions agree. Watch Conan instead, he's got a heart. Rich Dont watch letterman, he is a legend in his own mind. Regis needed to retire and enjoy life. As far as the late show's I would rather watch a video about how paint dries!

As an impartial observer, a few comments from the peanut gallery watching this. Ive owned and even ridden all, rofl, including the big 4 and Harley. ( MONEY PIT). Vespa loks like a fantastic ride, but also priced up there. Price Chinese, best bang for the buck. Drivetrain, well done. Plastics, face it its plastic. Electrical, sub standard thin copper connections poor workmanship in that department. All in all for the price just fine. As far as the argument both have good points, none are non valid. Re: the other site, or sites all opinions count some good some bad but this is America and that is great.

ummm... that 500 mile oil change is a "rule of thumb"....it's not like the thing detonates at 501.5 ! LOL you mean its not like a BMW? Friends father pushed the bmw oil change reminder and ended up sitting along the road. Seems BMW has the computer programed to shut her down if the oil is not changed within a mileage grace space.Of course the old guy, 86 years old, was in the middle of no where when it happened. rofl

My wife and I were in a restaurant having supper and a young soldier with his wife and a baby came in and sat in the next booth. I myself am a Disabled Vietnam Vet and I called the waiter over that was serving them and told him to put his tab on my bill. After dinner the waiter told him that I had picked up the tab. He came over and thanked my wife and I, he was being shipped overseas so I told him to come back to his lovely wife and child safe and sound. Alleyoop Alleyoop Far out Dude!

Thanks Rich, I appreciate the good words. We looked into selling online... but then I look at how many people bitch about j ust about everything... and I think " Life's just too damn short"40 years in the A/C business taught me if your going to do parts its like another shop. Cant blame you at all I think the floor is much more important. Parts for walkin traffic expose the customer to your sales line and generate interest as well as new product awareness. Good decision on the parts situation as I see it.

I don't think I've ever not been able to locate a part for my Sino-scooters. The problem is there's no dealer support network like there is for a Honda or Kawasaki. Therefore, you have to waste time scrounging around the web for the part on sites that are often incomprehensible. You guys are right, the dealers are the ulitmate scooter snobs and want your next born for payment. I wish Cookees sold online, he provides fantastic dealer support at reasonable prices. There's not many like him, just look at his avatar. Rich Thanks Rich, I appreciate the good words. I got a gallon jug of Castrol 15w40 at the local O'Reileys just a couple of months ago. I can find 15w40 but it is not SF.

Sorry guys after 40 years in business my devious mind has been bothered by all the free meals offered to vets. Devious mind is saying whats a great way to juce up a slow Monday evening for the restaurant, how about offer a free meal to one of the couple and charge for the other. Lets see if there are 200 extra people one that eats free one that pays thats 100 times roughly 12 bucks for each wife or another $1200 bucks for each restaurant. Now multiply that times the real number, I see it as a cash boom for a slow night! Lets see if it is continued next year. I mentioned this to Mrs. N last night and she exclaimed, " THat thought never crossed my mind"! Maby Im too old or too cautious but with what the wives went through when we were OC they deserve a break too.

All the heavier springs are going to do for you is REQUIRE higher rpms for the pads to be thrown out. So for example if currently the Clutch pads are thrown out at 2500 rpms putting on 2000k springs the Clutch pads will be thrown out around 4000-4500 rpms. If the pads are glazed it will do the same thing then as well. You just need to scrap up the pads a little and rough up the bell a little with some heavy grit sandpaper. I don't think you will like the heavy Clutch springs because just cruising around at 30 or so mph you will have to keep your rpms up. Alleyoop Hey Alley thanks for the hints. What Im not understanding is it does it after it has rained overnight but the bike is parled in my enclosed bike trailer that has a protected roof vent. After it has a few miles on it it stops grabbing. I have checked and there is no oil or grease on the faces of the pads. Im wondering if the pads were not cured properly and are absorbing moisture out of the air. This is a strange one. The other posibility is the trailer was on a slight incline and I was setting the rear brake and holding with a bungee overnight, but there is no noise from the pad when I take ithe bike out in the morning. I have now leveled the trailer and not setting the brake, Ill watch it now that it is level and see if the problem goes away. LOL dont forget the Golden Corral scam tomorrow.
