If you got cleaning fluid on the diaphragm it will swell up. After setting for a while and drying out it should shrink back down and fit. At least that is what happened with mine.

Usually when you lose compression all of the sudden it is a valve stuck open or a blown head gasket. Could also be bad rings but I would check out the valves first.

No that shouldn't have anything to do with your issue. Might make it harder to start when cold as it doesn't have as much reserve cranking power.
Can you run the RPM's up when it is on the center stand?
You might have a hole or tear in the diaphragm in the top of your carb. If so it will allow vacuum to escape and not lift our slide all of the way up.
Just a thought.

I weigh 225 and went from 6 gram rollers stock to 4 grams. Now my RPM's top out at around 7200 RPM.
Wow. What were your rpms with the 6s?? So your stuck. You cant go any lower say to get yours rpms up to 8000 now? So you are just below the powerband of 7500. Before I changed my rollers I was only able to top out at about 6000 RPM's unless I was going down hill. I picked this one up a couple of years ago for $165.00. It had a rough life with it's previous owners. The compression isn't as high as I would like it to be but it always starts and runs. I suppose if I wanted to I could try removing every other weight. Try it with tree 6 gram weights in the variator. That would give me a total of 18 grams as opposed to the 24 grams in there now.

Some people like to drain all of the gas out of them and put the battery on a trickle charger. I like to start mine every week or two and let them warm up good for 20 minutes or so. I put a couple of ounces of "Sea Foam" in the tank to help clean and prevent varnish build up in the carb. When the weather drops below freezing I do use a trickle charger on my batteries. I keep mine in an unheated garage. I also ride them while it's cold out, just not when it's wet.

There should be a screw in the end of that metal fitting on the end of the hose. Tighten the screw. That is the carb bowl drain screw.

Yes it is OK to use synthetic oil in GY6 engines. I would wait until it is broken in though. Somewhere between 600 to 1000 miles IMHO.
