Alley is right get in on far enough and the variator will move it up the tapered shaft. Many people use an impact wrench on the variator nut and they drive that gear so far up the shaft they will never get it off...I have seen cases cracked this way also...
So use a socket set and a torque wrench...

Clutch springs simply rust through... and snap...or the metal gets fatigued...
If you have 14K on the original variator weights.. look there first...most requires changing at about 5k miles...

New belts should be sanded on the edges that touch the pulleys..there is a varnish coating to keep the belts fresh and the pulleys can be roughed up with 120 grit emery cloth...

Big carbs do NOTHING but reduce performance unless you have a BBK and a free flow exhaust.. put the stock carb back on...you will be messing with it all summer...

Hardly a 150cc. Lifans are clearly marked with their name...
Probably a 250cc..no name manufacturer...some kind of motorcycle...

Get rid of both the alarm system and the auto start they are HIGHLY problematic.. there are technical post here on how to do it...you can't just unplug the alarm in most cases there are wires that must be bridged for the scooter to run...
Where is the black wire connect to... the ignition coil?

Sure you haven't dropped a valve adjuster lock nut somewhere..sometimes they can back-off and float around the valves until they find their way into the exhaust valve. BANG!!!

Yeah the CVT cover case is the pivot for the kickstarter
Is the case badly damaged? are you leaking oil? Is it cracked?
If not just remove the 3 pieces of the kickstarter and carry a second battery so when your battery dies you have a spare to run the starter motor
Cost about $40...
The case by the way the cases are die cast aluminum.. quite brittle..

Soft seize... you will ruin the scooter running it at WOT in that heat
They aren't designed to do that...
Change your oil...
