Wow! It's been two months since I first posted this thread with the intention of fixing the RT "next weekend". Well today's the day. I finally have a day off AND some motivation so hopefully my Chinese Mistress hasn't completely rusted to the ground on my Dad's back porch! In the mean time while she's been away(have been having some work done at the house and needed her space in the garage for storage) I got the antique 2-wheeler out and she broke down about 8 miles from home. No cell phone. About midnight. Not many street lights. Had to work the next day. Therapeutic walk home. Ahh, but this forum is about scooters, not motorcycles...

Thanks Alleyoop. I guess I will change my oil again! But the update is that I found the oil reset button. I think I felt my bike actual "break in". I just hit 800 miles and its running smoothly now except for the wobbling when I slow down. to stop it I just wiggle the handle bars slightly from left to right. Is there a benefit to using gas detergents? Any suggestions on securing the water tank? Anyone know where to get a small portable gas can/bladder? Hey yylsuperman, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! Sure hope you didn't put many miles on her with that heavy weight oil-that'll kill and engine quick! I have the same wobble/vibration at times and I am thinking it's related to wheel alignment. I still haven't checked mine recently but it's critical to have ALL wheels parallel. I secured my coolant expansion tank with zip ties. What the hell is a gas can bladder? I guess you got the engine starting. Was it the battery? The battery supplied is not the greatest quality(big surprise, huh?!) so I keep mine on a charger when I'm not gonna be riding for a few days. I'll try to be a little better answering questions-have had a lot going on recently.

All right, I've had it with these stupid linked brakes! If you've followed my posts you've seen that I took the brake "manifold(?)" apart and everything seemed honky-dory after. NOT! The stupid seals inside this manifold must be leakin' because my right side master cylinder(controling the front brakes) keeps overfilling, and my left master cylinder(controling rear brakes and some front) keeps emptying. No external leaks. Just roder her over to my Pop's last week and noticed the left brake seemed a bit spongey at first but by the time I got there it was dead. I mean pulling into the handlebar and nothing dead. Thank God for front brakes! So I'm done with this as far as I'm concerned stupid set up and I'm gonna convert her to conventional brakes--pull on the right handle for front brakes, and (in this case) pull on the left handle for rear brakes. I just ordered two of these "t" fittings to reconfigure the brake lines. I'll let you know how I make out. www.ebay.com/itm/ATV-Front-Hydraulic-Brake-T-Connector-with-Banjo-bolt-/150642843546The plan is to connect the front brake lines to the one "t" and the rear brake lines to the other and just plug the one unused outlet. Hopin' to get her done next weekend. ;D

Hey, good to hear from ya Daddue! ;D That sounds like the best way to go...same part=same result. New/better part=better handling and peace of mind. Keep us informed and also remember that wheel alignment is key-ALL wheels need to be parallel!

Could be the 856... could be a 871... or could even be a 906x22.5! WTH??? I LOOOOVE this Chinese sh, I mean stuff. Only way to know is to crack her open and check-sigh.

Hey Justin, I'm almost positive the belt should be a 871x23x30 www.moxiescooters-store.com/SPD/dia-23815--80004716-1312220326.jsp. Sunny's part number is 23815 and if you Google that number you'll come up with this belt. I am sure the 856 belt will work but if 871 is the correct belt length it will go higher in the variator and give you more top end speed.

The other issue we need to explore is... is the engine in fact overheating. Is the temp sensor bad? Is the radiator evenly hot or are there cooler areas(indicating a blockage)? Does the cooling fan cycle?(Might operate from same temp sensor so probably doesn't). When she's "overheating" is she pushin' coolant into the reservoir and fillin' it up? If not I suspect she's not actually overheating.

I thing Alley might be right, sounds like you've got some air in the system. Filler her up and let her idle with the radiator cap off. As she heats up the coolant should rise up to the ratiator cap and might even overflow so be ready with a pan underneath. Once the thermostat opens the coolant level will suddenly drop--that's when you refill her slowly then put the cap back on. If you let her run a bit with the cap off once the thermostat opens, with a little luck that will purge the air from the system. If your leak remains and it is slight I think I would try adding a bit of stop leak to the system. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I added a top box to my Burgman 650 on Sunday. This weekend I'm replacing the water pump and thermostat on my reverse trike Sunny POS. Now, now, there are those of us(however few) that are happy with their Sunny RT's and this one had a great ride last nite...warm evening, new windscreen, fuel gauge still workin'(lol!), even got a few nods/waves from some cagers! Whodathunk?! ;D By the way Daddue, this is not meant in any way to "rub it in". I feel your pain and frustration and hope you can get resolution and get Liberty back on the road soon!

new2scootn', bashan can dig my jokes, but this individual eversince cannnot ride my funny skit... maybe he gets challenged with my intelligence, anyways ill tone down before someone excercise his authority on me. night night!!! night AL Hey Luke! May the force be with you! Sheesh!! My skin's not that thin! ;D Guess I forgot to put little "smileys" in there and it made it sound like I was offended. I am not. Trikes whether they be conventional, reverse, or (like that link i posted), tilting conventional, are not for everyone. I personally love the way a motorcycle handles and that's why I was drawn to the tilting reverse trikes. That and I just think it's a cool design exersize. So no worries mate, my skin's in tact. ;D ;D

if i may say, i would never trade my morphous with a trike, for me trikes are for people who cannot balance, like some people i know. no offense. it's just me. but it works best for you so enjoy!!!! vet You're thinkin' of a conventional trike(two wheels in back). Sunny Roadrunner's are reverse trikes(two wheels in front) that TILT like a two wheeler in turns. They are NOT for people who "cannot balance". ;D Still think you wouldn't like a trike? Check out this link... www.mysterydesigns.com/ These guys make a kit called the Tiltster for a conventional trike that tilts! ;D Note: this message was modified with smileys and comments so as not to imply that I had been offended-lol!!
