yeah, there is no one 'best' place. But there is one 'worst' place, no matter what Nevada DMV says: the middle of the lane..I prefer left of middle, but depends on other factors.

If you bought the burgman, i'm betting that you would put a couple of other things out for sale just to keep it..

Jerryscript... I'm not laughing at you.. I'm laughing at those guys.... Just kidding folks. The main reason I moved here from the northern tier is because it's all year riding.. well, that and that you can order a steak and a beer 24 hrs a day. Dry roads to you all.

well, actually, "expert system" better defines this type of q&a software. The problem is indeed that the user has to know the right terms to use one well. A non computer based text version would be a checklist with "if yes, go to question xx, if no, continue..". I've personally always viewed forums as a vast expert system. Granted that the search functions are primitive, if used properly with the right terms, not bad. It should be possible to generate a questionnaire as a front end interface to the search engine that could make it more friendly. Anyone?? Anyone??

Good to hear that you are back up and running (mostly). Probably going to turn out to be a terrific ride once you kill the gremlins. Frustration can usually only be beaten by taking a break for awhile, and returning another day. Best of fortune and dry roads to you..

Just adding my couple of cents worth: Do the turn indicators or anything at all work when the key is inserted and turned to the on position? From what I've read, I gather that the ignition position makes no difference. Have you checked the connectors for the ignition? Not trying to sidetrack the investigation, just a thought....

And, besides the lesson of carrying some tools on a shakedown ride, the other lesson is that, before you wear yourself out pushing, at least check the simple things... Is there gas in the bike? is there gas under the bike? JR isn't the first one to have a plug wire pop off.

I only carry when traveling cross country. When riding with friends, several of which are women, i don't carry. my job is to stand in front of them and beg for our lives. That gives them time..cause they always carry.. also, if you travel with others, especially while camping out, let them know where the weapon is.. just courtesy..

Yup, it can be too icy to ride, maybe too foggy to ride, and possibly too windy to ride, but if the scooter will start, it isn't too cold to ride.. just my couple a cents worth... (oh, and I didn't always live in the desert..)

You think that the vespa crowd are unhappy now, wait till they realize that to the commercial makers, a scooter is just a scooter, and that one wasn't chosen because it was a vespa, it was chosen because it was available..

Scoot, go to meetup.com. There is a SF Scooter Club in your area, probably others also. Probably like in Vegas, most of the scooter clubs revolve around the Vespa crowd, but usually all scoots are welcome.. Hope it helps..
