I finally got the markers working. When I put in an LED license plate light, the black wire was the hot wire. To get the marker lights working, I needed to attach the black wire to ground, and the hot wire goes to the nut on the attaching screw. Crazy but they look good!

Are you really looking for a mechanic just to change the light bulb? If you are, and you can handle a screwdriver, private message me and I'll walk you through it. Really not hard, just a bunch of steps.

I upgraded my 35w incandescent to 45w. No heat/melting problems, but they both blew out in a month or so. i put my 35w back in and they continue to burn strongly.

Bashan - GREAT diagnostic outline. You would have saved me a week last time I was down. I've got it bookmarked now for future reference.

AND - check all wires going into the CDI. It could be as simple as a loose connection, particularly of the brown and yellow wire.

You should definitely plan on securing these lines with zip ties, and one good tip I got was to use two colors - one for vacuum, one for fuel, so you will know which is which months from now if/when you need to go back in for whatever reason.

Any chance the Google Search pane will reappear at the bottom of the screen? I always used that to great success when searching the site.

I only know what I read on Scootdawg, but the people who've posted there seem to have had bad experiences, especially with front wheel alignment. then again, some have said that this and other problems may have been addressed in later models. I'd do some Scootdawg reading and see what you think. The sure look cool though.

check the connections for the wires going into the rectangular plug that clips on to the CDI. I had lots of starting issues that were ultimately all traced back to a bad connection of the brown and yellow wire at the CDI plug.

I have found unless it is the most ubiquitous part you're better off getting Vog/TBX parts directly from BMS. they may cost a little more, but you'll know it will fit. I've gotten burned where things were claimed to fit for a "257cc" bike and they did not.

I thought of that too, and even swapped out the ground and power wires to see if there was any difference. no dice.
