Do they generally come with a certain size? I ordered one from Monsterscooter in a 19mm but does not mention the jetting. I know Keihins come with an 85 which is too much for a stock setup. Are they all fitted rich? I dont want a 74 but dont feel like swapping out an 85 right out of the gate either.

I decided to try out the gates brand and since i had some room on the rear clutch I went with a 729 instaed of the 724 Bando and picked up 5 more MPH and this belt runs smoother than the Bandos. Very happy with it!

Probably running too lean. Enricher working? Rule of thumb if scoot runs better cold its rich, worse when cold its lean.

Not likely to garner you friends here... itistheride.boards.net/thread/5640/all-scooter-forums-created-equalFYI molecular structure of synthetic oil is smaller and much more uniform resulting is a more "slick" surface" but its 3:00 am so I must be hammered. If everyone under the sun agrees that dino oil for breakin before synthetic then one can surmise that dino allows engine wear to some extent. (I had 4 cups of coffee before coming to that conclusion) Seriously Im a fan for posting the same topic on differnt forums for DIVERSITY, not to criticize one forum to another. I can assure you that this is a much more technical based forum than the rest of them. If you felt you were right in your observations why did you bother posing the question anyway? Its a 300.00 motor and can be replaced all day long so whats the big deal? The big deal is explaining why you need to replace rings that didnt seat right on a new motor and wonder where all that expensive oil is going.

I decided to try a gates and the 724 gates was shoter than my 723 Bando and the parts company found all the 724s they had were not measuring correct so they sent them back to the manufacturer. But i will say even though is was too short it was silky smooth!
I just hate the fact that the Bando is so easy to counterfeit. Anyone can paint the logo.

Why do some scoots specify specific numbers but most places round off the numbers, especially the middle and end. I take a 17.5 x 28 and most sell 18 x 30 How much of a difference is that performance wise? Id like a longer belt but i take a 723 and the next size up is like 729

Man I gotta say the older you get the more "delayed" the agony! Back in the day you got hurt and it hurt right away! Now it dont hurt bad until 2 days later. I can barely lift it at all at the moment.... Probably send me that that Physical Therapist thingy soon. I for got that LUKE was a Chiropractor....must have never got that promotion.

So generally speaking your not necessarily limited to 50cc style mufflers when looking for replacements?
