kr10k50 Hay, I've been looking at these canisters for a while now... Have you opened the canister up yet to see what it has for a filter element?? Wondering how & where to get element replacement if needed?? Also wondering how they are in the rain?? Because that's where I have my filter located at... I custom built a 43mm Stainless Steel Filter Tube... But, if I get caught in much rain I'm screwed, which has happened a couple of times...

daveloh The bearing that was left out is the same output shaft, left engine case bearing that's use it most Chinese scoots... I'm still waiting for warranty parts for my trike...

Bashan Thanks for the starter clutch file... I got the case buttoned up, just have to wait for new head gasket... I couldn't find any evidence of any problems causing my engine noise, but still suspect the noise is coming from starter clutch rollers & or starter & starter clutch gears chattering... Rod, wrist pin, crank, & crank bearings all feel & look good...

Thanks Doc's Gott'r fingered out... Though I got it apart, but didn't find what's causing the noise... Took cylinder off, rod & wrist pin feel good... Noise seems to be coming from the starter clutch area, but don't see any evidence of any problems...

A Doc's Do any of you Dawg's know if the Starter Clutch Lock Nut is a left hand or right hand thread?? Also what is the trick to keeping it from turning??? I have the Spanner Socket for the job, & hit it w/ the impact, but it's on there pretty good...

A Alley I've been all this time trying to get straight w/ Ice Bear exactly what parts I need, now I find out tonight the only part in stock is the final drive output shaft, Vince said they had to special order the other parts.. It's looking like I'll be taring Bear down & putting it back together over the winter at this rate...

A Doc's I wanted to let all of you know, that I believe I found the problem in the drive train that is causing the jumping in the trikes... What I found was: When they added the gear box to the final drive unit, they have 2 set of needle bearings in the right end of the forward/reverse gear box to support the right end (sprocket end) of the final drive output shaft, & ball bears in the final drive cover to support the left end of the final drive output shaft... OK, well in the right side wall of the final drive/engine case there is a recess for a bearing which would be there if the forward/reverse gear box wasn't attached... I believe they left this bearing out thinking it wasn't necessary... So, what I believe is happening is the final drive output shaft is flexing in the middle of the shaft from the torque where they left the bearing out... I believe by putting the missing bearing back in would support the middle of the shaft, then there would be no way the final drive gears will jump.. I'm still waiting for my warranty parts, but when they come in & when I reassemble there will be a 3rd bearing added in the middle of the final output shaft...

This is my Oil Catch Tank I built for my 2 Longbo Scoots. When I have to empty them I'll probably add a petcock drain at bottom of tank for draining or possibly plumb it back to crankcase, I haven't decided yet..

OK DOC Jrr or who ever As some of you know & those of you who didn't know, I have been involved w/ the testing of the Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head - STAGE 1 KIT through Buggy Parts NW, thanks to alleyoop... To start w/ in appreciation to Mike at Buggy Parts NW who supplied the Stage 1 Head Kit to me & alleyoop who gave up his opportunity to test this kit & recommended me to Mike... Thank You Guy's for the opportunity to be involved in the testing of this fine product... I know the suspense has been just killing some of you... I installed the stage 1 test head kit on my 2010 Ice Bear PST150-11 Trike.. My fist impression of this head was vary, vary high, the Endrigo's, in my opinion did an exceptional job reworking the valve train.. The Valve Guides to Valve Stems clearances were perfect, unlike the stock head... The head decking also vary nice, & intake & exhaust ports were nice & clean & open, w/ mated intake manifold (ported)... Included necessary gaskets & come w/ straight forward bolt on instruction & live phone support... In my opinion, this Bolt On Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head - STAGE 1 KIT, is well worth the price tag for 3 REASONS 1: The High Quality Work Man Ship of this Head, 2: The Installation Instruction Sheet which is worth as much as the kit it's self, these installation instructions has vary valuable setup information that enhances this vary superior product... 3: Live Phone Support, which also holds value.. Unfortunately for the info some of you are really waiting for, POWER, TOP SPEED, & GAS MILEAGE, I can't give a fair opinion on... I feel I have to be fair to the Endrigo's & to Mike at Buggy Parts NW... Having said that, the reason I can't give a fair opinion as to the performance of this Stage 1 Head Kit, I blame on the machine I installed the kit on, due to weight of this trike 400 lb + my 260 lb, also for the simple reason the engine in these trike are according to Ice Bear are classified as GY7 buggy / go cart type engine, which already has vary high low end torque, & the gas mileage in my opinion is so poor that this stage 1 kit would have to perform miracles.. So I feel that my machine does not do justice for the Stage 1 Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head... & due to the unfortunate destruction of the final drive unit, my testing came to an abrupt end.... But to sum it all up into a nut shell, I feel I chose the wrong machine for this test subject, but I do feel that the Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head is Worthy & priced right... You may ask, would I, myself pay the price for the Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head kits?? & the answer is YES, & would vary much like to in the vary near future.. At this moment I'm working on a different machine for my next personal test subject, which is a 2008 Longbo Alien 150cc, that I'm modding moderately but w/ stock head, & using Endrigo's setup procedures, to get the highest performance possible, highest top speed possible, & highest economy possible... Then I will purchase the Endrigo Racing Cylinder Head - stage 1 or stage 2 kit just because of the quality & support... & No I was not nor am I being paid in any way, for anything stated here in this thread, this just how strongly I feel about this product that's being offered to the Cycling, ATV, Buggy, & Carting World... & Again THANKS to those who made this opportunity possible for me, it's been fun & an experience.. OK Doc Here my 2 cents!!! This rule of thumb depends on how hard a person is on brakes, how fast you ride, how close to the vehicle in front of you, how soon a person starts braking coming to a stop sign, etc... I guess if you ride like I do, maybe not long, but on the other hand, I've never worn out a set of pads or shoes on any of my cycles... But between scooters & motorcycle & 5 days out of 7 I can ride a different machine each of the 5 days... But putting all that aside, the pads on my motorcycles have gone some where around 8,000 miles so far, & will probably go another 4,000... Don't know on the Chinese scoots though, haven't gone that many miles on a scoot yet, but they seem to be holding up pretty good...

Wolfhound Ya, I meant 2009, I correct it.
OK, I guess I was wrong about the 1 year warranty.. It's 6 months from the purchase date...

wolfhound The Ice Bear Warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase.. Wolfhound I hope you're following & reading this post.. You need to contact your dealer before your 1 year warranty runs out, & if they're telling you, you only had 90 days, they're feeding you a line of crap, & you better call Ice Bear instead.. I know this because I bought my trike in 9/2009 & I had my differential replaced under warranty 2 - 3 months ago...
Alley You've got this all wrong my friend, I've been wrenching for over 30 years.. To start w/ you've got the 2 types of shift levers backwards... They went to the lever on the handle bars to correct the problems w/ the forward /reverse gear engagement... But I don't believe that's the problem that everyone is having, that's why nobody can get rid of this jumping /shuttering problem... ZugZug hit it on the nail head, read his statement above in this post.. ZugZug stated that there's an article floating around on the web about the drive train problem w/ these machines & the fix which consists of shims to tighten up final gear mesh... When I pull the forward /reverse gear box apart there was no sings of problems, no damage, all the damage is in the final drive unit, which is between the gear box & the clutch.. In my opinion the problem in the forward /reverse gear box had nothing to do w/ the damage in the final drive unit... Like I said before, I'll bet dollars to donuts that the problem w/ wolfhounds trike is in the final drive unit & not the forward /reverse gear box...

zugzug Ya, something that would've cost them maybe $5., ends up costing me almost $3,000. & a hell of a lot more in the end...
Probably the best I can hope for now is paying for a new left side engine case, bearings, seals, & gears... I just don't know it's worth all that w/ all the money I've got tied up into it... Probably should just cut my losses now..
I know someone that's been trying to talk me into putting a 3 cylinder diesel into it.. That won't happen, at least not from my pocket..
