Yeah, I'd say monthly. One way to tell if they are getting low is to listen while you're pushing the bike on smooth concrete. If they squeek alot they're low. At least that's what I've heard, I never let mine get that low! Nope, I'd never let them get low. WHAT!!??...............

Yes Robert, pics would help, if you need help with that PM or e-mail me. Is it the verticle or horizontal engine? I never assume anymore based on model numbers, they often badge them inconsistantly. Rich

Yep, spot on Dr. Oop. I would just like to reiterate what I've been saying, the function of the ports never changes. The power port is always the power port. The coil feed is always the same right next to the trigger port. But there is no gaurantee on wire color or wire configurations. For instance, I saw a five wire CDI with one wire in the power port and it was a black wire. So you'd assume DC CDI right? Nope, it was an AC power feed and the kill function was through grounding out the TRIGGER WIRE! It looked like factory wiring but who knows. The point is, like Alley says, don't assume, get your meter out. If you don't have a meter get one, they're cheap and invaluable. Rich

Yeah, Alley is 100% correct. If that much gas is being used you'd see some dripping or white smoke that smells like gas would be coming out of the exhaust. Have you seen white exhaust? Or....somebody is stealing it. There are very few scenarios with MPG like that.

Oh really? Let me see if I can figure the check for those parts. Hmmmm....comes to $10.20.....that sounds right!

The flywheel? Nah, it's just a bunch of magnets embedded in the metal, not much to go wrong. Did you check the voltage on the red/black to the CDI and also the trigger coil voltage? Rich

It's never simple bud, it's always something. Good for you on figuring out the final drive. Vac lines are easy, the source is the intake manifold and the destination is the vac fuel valve, ACV valve on the carb, and maybe some pollution things like vapor recovery. Get us some pix and we'll sort it out for you. Rich

Some of that time is sitting at lights and that 0 MPH drags down your average big time. Rich

Where's the retainer clip for that valve? That valve has dropped bud, that didn't do any good.

Get some pics of the service job Pedro and we'll post them. I'm dying to see what it's like to service a bike that has a hood! Rich

I seem to recall you riding in a downpour with tornado warnings. Insane is putting it mildly. Yes, that happened, what's your point? I also shadowed a funnel clound through Memphis while on a 800cc Beemer. Hey! It was moving NE and so was I....it was OK...wasn't it? It was hailing a little too...just a little.

17 degrees is my record for riding 42 miles into work. I also rode into work on snow covered roads. My next two goals are to break the 17 degree record and ride while it is snowing. I won't leave for work on the bike if it's raining, I'm not insane. Well, a light rain yeah....but nothing heavy. Well if the radar shows it's clearing up I might...but not if it's going to keep pouring. Unless it'll be nice in the afternoon...then maybe. Oh hell...I am insane.

The vac line runs from the peacock (squaawk) to the intake manifold. Sorry I couldn't resist. But the vacuum from the engine pulls the tank valve open.
