I agree with alley one thing at a time sorry to get you upset alley checked swing arm watched gy6 movie got cvt cover off got fuel drained cleaned carb baterie charged slow fixed a fuel line looked at carb diagram I don't really no if it needs tweeked or not THINGS TO CHECK carb diaphragm spring cvt need intake boot evently Well it seems like there has been some progress sorry camera havn't done yet SCOOTERJOHN Not trying to chastise or berate but I'm curious as to how the carb got clean without removing the top because if you removed the top you would know if the diaphragm has a spring or not, wouldn't you?

I believe replacing the crank involves removing the motor from the bike so it can be labor intensive and time consuming. A lot of folks find it cheaper and easier to just replace the motor.

might have to go with another main jet. i think the new air filter allows too much air and your running lean. a plug chop should verify this.

I think wire connections should be black to black, green to green, if I'm wrong someone please correct me. Have you checked the brake light bulb to see if it's good? The glass fuse can't be looked at to see if it's good you have to test it as the filament inside may be broken where it can't be seen.

inspect your brake pads first, before adding fluid. the reason for this is if you fill the reservoir and then replace the pads, you will have too much fluid in the brake system. brake pads "use" fluid as they wear down.

scooters are not built to compete with motorcycles. any machine can be made "better" if your wallet is big enough. dependability and longevity rests on maintenance. the biggest problem with Chinese scooters is that they can't be built in America for 60 cents a day.

I've heard that you should always connect the positive ) side of the battery first as batteries produce hydrogen gas and there is a risk of explosion. I don't know if this still holds true for the new "sealed" batteries.

most fuse holders you will buy should come with 16ga wire. if your scoot doesn't have that, it's not that hard to change out. remember, thicker wire is less likely to overheat and cause problems. a lot of the wiring on mine looks like 18/20ga.

valve adjustment isn't that difficult. lots of good knowledge in the library and youtube is your friend.

there isn't any "play" in the handlebars, no front to back or side to side movement and everything checks out normal. I wasn't sure how tight was too tight.

I have a question about how tight the steering head needs to be? not trying to get bike specific. it might just be me but the steering on my jonway 150 seems "sloppy", like it's loose but everything seems normal upon inspection. is there a specific tightening sequence or torque for this?
