Check your engine ground, spark plug, plug boot, hi tension wire , ignition coil, CDI..somewhere there may be the problem

I agree with Rich ...87 AKI is the right octane for all GY6 engines...the only variation could be due to excessive ping or altitude...

No gasket...not likely...the gasket is a copper ring...

Thanks Rich!
There are tall P heads and normal P heads...go figure...some manufcturers used a 'P' for the tall heads, like Lifan and others...others stuck a 'P' in the engine code becuse it was a THURSDAY...no friggin' reason...perhaps they would sell more scooters with the 'P' in the engine code???
So measure the head..it is only way to find true 'P' head... it will be73.25 mm high..larger valves, better porting, longer cam chain, more aggresive cam profile..

The float bowl is probably empty, perhaps vapour locked...you need to check if you have gas in it, open the drain and check...when you crank the nineyou should get gas flow from the drain...

There have been discussions about metal CVT covers providing ridigity to the rear of the transmission...sounds reasonable, but I don't know if it is true

Just cover both sides of that spacer with red high temp silicone, about 1/8 thick...let it set for an hour and bolt it together and leave overnight...you will never have another vacuum leak...
