005 is ok so long as there is good drag on the feeler, and you pulled up on the rocker arm as you tested with the feeler. If you don't pull up on the rocker arm as you slide the feeler around, it may feel right when in fact it's too loose. Ive had to re-do valves a couple of times because I overlooked this and ended up with clatter instead of faint tapping.

Says it right in the description, for AC systems only.

Not sure I would follow the leader who flashed that signal. ~

No need for a gasket on the CVT, all it really does is prevent vibration.

A long shot here but try starting it with gas cap off. If you have a charcoal canister on the end of the gas tank vent tube, it may have been fouled when the scooter was on it's side, causing vacuum lock preventing fuel flow.

You can check it yourself by taping a marker to the fork, placed so the tip just touches the rotor. If it's out of round, the line will have varying thickness or dissappear in spots.

Even motorcycle cops will tell you the grease strip is bad.

Beyond what Alleyoop mentioned, it sounds like the clutch is engaging to low, causing 1, and since it is engaged even when stopped, 2 occurs.

I go to the side without exhaust if possible, then angle towards the next lane for an easy exit. I then watch my rear view mirror till the vehicle behind me stops. If I do get rear ended, I'll be pushed towards the next lane rather than being crushed between two vehicles.

Right on! There are few times you feel as good as you do walking out of the DMV with your new ride all papered up. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Actually, the additives are different in engine oil and gear oil. Most engine oil has additives that help prevent acidic conditions, gear oil has some, but not the same as engine oil.

Is the hesitation right at takeoff, or as you turn the throttle more while accelerating? If the latter, trying raising the needle by lowering the clip one notch our adding a washer if it doesn't have a clip.
