There is no standard. My TaoTao came with 5.5 gr and my BMS came with 5s. Convert to sliders once you weigh yours.
IMO forget about any mods other than CVT. Thats the only worthwhile mod to do. A Koso variator under 30 bucks and a set of sliders is like gold. I have tried and removed every other snake oil mod there is and kept the CVT mods.

Ebay? Maybe fake. How come places like scrappy and parts for scooters dont have them? Or any other "real" store.

Do I tighten it to the point where the outer tabs that the bushing sits in is totally tight? Same with the bottom. 2 tabs on the shock bottom that rests on a bar with a hole through it.

Painted my spring today and I dont believe the nuts and bolt was completely tight. Is there supposed to be some play for the shock to move with the bushing a little?

Obviously a softer spring will allow a quicker lifting of the diaphram and probably result in a faster rpm increase ?

I heard a rumor if you use a paper type filter and have a bad case of water in gas it's ruined?

Is there a rule of thumb regarding tension and performance? Does a more relaxed spring allow the slide to open faster and have better performance? Seems like all my carbs have different springs.

FIlled up and the scoot started to sputter and lose power. Looked at my fuel filter and saw it was milky. Clear fuel line was okay AFTER the filter. I drained a half galon into a clear jar and there was 2 inches of clear liquid floating on a the rest that looked milky. JUst nasty looking so I drained the tank and filled up at another station and put a shot of seafoam in there. Runs fine now.

Is it the flat horizontal fork bearing nuts? If so mine come lose on my Tao too. I finally used blue thread lock the last time I tightened it. If its any other bolt or nut its a good idea to thread lock it anyway.
