I want to start running synthetic in mine, but I'm a 'don't waste what you have' kinda guys. As such, I still have over a gallon of 15w-40 oil I got from Tractor Supply Co that I need to use up before I can go get synthetic lol.

Any reason you didn't just order the halogens I posted from the reputable scooter site? 45w is getting into some decent power consumption and higher heat; still an incandescent bulb.

Welcome Joe-
I suggest starting your own thread so the guys here can help you fix the charging issue you've been discussing on the other forum.

Warm. It takes no time at all.
Same engine, just on a buggy:

You have the correct plate.
It ultimately comes down to VIN though. Won't know until you try. There have been stories of CARB plates (what you have) getting on non-CARB approved VINS. But that is the correct plate. Exact one I have.

I'm sure there would be no issues, I just don't see any benefit in the extra $ your spending on that oil. There's nothing even in it that applies to our scooters. It's not going to hurt anything though.

You ultimately did what I did. I replaced my 25w (the scooter says 35w stock.. lies!) with 35w of the same type.
I still want to go halogen though; I'll probably order from one of the non-ebay stores that I posted. Though so far the 10w increase in the standard bulbs is getting me by.
Always mixed results from those eBay guys.

oil

Call me a skeptic, but I have a hard time believing that an oil type is going to have any discernible impact on engine idle/high rpm, or in how the scooter runs in general. Perhaps better wear protection, sure, but I can't imagine how an oil, of the same weight, is going to have any impact on engine operation. The engine doesn't have a brain you know, "Hey there, i've got myself some fancy motorcycle oil!" There's the weight, and the additives. The additives are what differentiates a motorcycle oil from a car oil. Those additives shouldn't have any affect on normal engine operation. In fact it doesn't really even make sense; the additives added to that motorcycle oil have no purpose in our scooters, as that oil isn't going anywhere else other than the engine (not the case for motorcycles).
If I'm off base please let me know; I'm certainly not an expert in the subject.

You should install one of each then take a pic for us.
A general note about the headlights and front driving lights. Once you see how they come out, you can actually do it without taking the front plastic off. You can just stick your hand up there, feel around and get the brackets to un-clip, then pull out the bulb and harness. The little driving lights are even easier, just reach up, find it, turn counter-clockwise and pull out.

Kickstand

To confirm, you're referring to the side kick-stand, and not the center stand correct?
You may want to consider just ditching the kick-stand and only using the center stand. Because these scooters have no "neutral," the kick-stand has gotten people in some trouble (including myself). I.e.: You rev up the scooter, or the scooter idles up on its own to the point where the clutch grabs, and because the kick-stand keeps the rear tire on the ground, it moves forward and falls over.
My own example was pure stupidity. I was so conditioned to working on it in the garage on the center stand, that when I was having charging issues one day at work and started it, then revved it to check voltage, off it went!! I was standing next to it checking the voltage and forgot it was on the kickstand.... Right into a curb and smack on the ground.

For the record, the link to the Linhai stator that JR posted will not work in the CFMOTO engine. I received an email from our man at Oregon Motorcycle parts and he is quickly losing interest in re-winding these stators because he saw a post stating that there was already a better stator for our engines (correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that's the case). Lets make it clear how much we'd appreciate his services to re-wind our stators

This thread needs to be a sticky somewhere; maybe not the whole thread but at least the post where Damin summarized his solution and included links to the better RR. Pretty much every 244cc owner is going to want to make this upgrade at some point.
