www.ncleg.net/Sessions/2013/Bills/House/PDF/H1145v5.pdfTo register the moped, the owner would have to provide a manufacturer's certificate of origin, which is like a title for a car. If the owner doesn't have one, he or she would have to go through a Division of Motor Vehicles inspection to obtain a registration and plates. The cost would be $18. The bill would require moped owners carry bodily injury, property damage and liability insurance. Drivers would have to pay either a $15 or $22 registration fee depending on whether the bike has a sidecar. Drivers would also pay a $40 title fee.

Loki just passed away. He was playing with one of his sisters and he fell down a step causing a seizure. Unfortunately, he didn't survive this one, my heart is breaking.

I got a flat on my scoot, took it off to a local tire store. $12 to mount tire, including new valve stem & balanced. This was on the used scoot I had.

The one that bothered me the most was the guy with his kid behind him in shorts and t-shirt. As adults, we're supposed to be the smart ones.

any idea what size hoses are on these scoots for fuel & vac? I don't want to have to tear covers off just to get the sizes if I don't have to but I would like to upgrade the lines.
And any ideas on whether the blue wire or green wire on the side markers on the front is the hot wire so I can add my LED lights?

Well, let's see...I worked as a tax preparer, assistant in accounting office, fast food, various factory jobs ranging from sewing to food processing to furniture assembly. The last job(s) I held was various merchandising. With merchandising, some of it was W2 work and some was IC work. I did everything from build furniture in Staples, reset store shelves, stock balloons & greeting cards, stock plants, business verification, product reacalls, mystery shopping...
Not much call for that kind of work in my part of NC, mostly avail in large cities but every once in a while I get a job offer. Have one pending approval to go to a local church and verify that it is a real business and is a religious organization. I know the church well, it's about 5 miles from my house. Just did miss out on a mystery shop at a local fast food place - objective was to see if they would upsell me & I would get to reward them if they did but it went fast. Oh well, I don't even make enough doing these jobs down here to even report it for taxes, maybe $200 yr total...

I got small LED light bars to add to the front of my scoot. I was going to wire them into my amber side lights but not positive which wire to hook them too. I have a blue & a green wire going to those lights. I know green is usually ground but this is more of a pale green & I'm not sure if these bikes follow wiring colors. The lights I'm installing have a solid black, blue, black w/white stripe. The solid black is for the ground and I have to wire the blue & black w/ white stripe to my hot wire. I plan to install them facing towards the ground and they say blue but it is more of the blue-white like in halogen lights. The current plan is to use the included brackets and mount them on the outside edge of the lower front fairing. If that's not a good idea, I can take them back and look for something different. These are the lights I got: www.causa.com/store/catalog.asp?item=4345Also, the headlight bulb reads "S2 12v 35/35w E4 2PA". When searching for this bulb, I found a seller on Amazon that lists it as a BA20D style bulb. Is this correct and if so, is that what I need to search to look for a better/brighter bulb. Found these @ Wally World for $7.87. www.blazer-international.com/productdetail.php?itemno=CW1531R&cat=1 Was thinking of adding 2 of them to the back and wiring them into my stop/turn lights to act as additional lighting there and placing them a little lower down, maybe where a plate would go.

Any ideas on what might be wrong with it? Plenty of fluid in the reservoir, doesn't leak when when squeeze the lever, barely any resistance on the lever.

Got the throttle issue solved, he fixed it so no idea what it was.
Rear brakes are a major issue though. It's disc brakes. When we went to move it, the brakes were no longer locked so we moved it easily. I was helping him guide it while he pushed and the rear brakes went completely out. I've checked the fluid level and its fine. Can't see anything wrong with the disc brake assembly either. As far as the hose that is visible without removing body panels, I can't see any fluid leaking.
Any ideas what could be wrong with the brakes now? And where can I order pads for it? 10" wheel. When he squeezes the lever, it has just enough resistance to say it does.
Also found out he thinks he should only use the rear brakes, when I tried to tell him he needed to use both sets together, he told me to stop criticizing his driving. No idea which of his friends told him to just use the rear brakes, but using both front & rear together makes more sense. Am I wrong or was he given wrong info?

My scoot doesn't have a trip meter. I just think it'll be way easier to keep track of stuff than a notebook that could get lost. Plus, when people start in about how scoots are stupid, I can say "I've drove XXX miles on $$$$. But to each their own, just thought it was interesting. I'm also recording what station I get the gas at so I can see if different places give better results.
Ex, I heard its better to use a station that has separate nozzles for each grade if you're not running regular, especially in something like a scoot/motorcycle since it has a small tank. My BIL does this with his street bike & says he notices a difference in MPG. We both figure its because when all grades share the same nozzle, you could get some of whatever the last person pumped. In even a 15 gal tank it won't make a difference but when your tank is only 1.5 gal (like my scoot) it can make a difference.
And you have to consider my situation, my scoot isn't a toy, it's my only transportation.

The reason they go so high here is once someone buys once, they almost never sell it until it needs a complete rebuild due the the inevitable failure of materials from age. Lots of people do mods and customization of their motorhomes/trailers when they get they. I mean, there's a guy living near me that has a motorhome from the mid 80's and he uses it every year.
This is the south where people make a religion out of hunting (lol) and camping. More people camp using trailers than tents down here cause they can start earlier in the year, go later in the year, and continue to go even when they can't get up off the sleeping bag in a tent.

Called the dealer today and the new fuel sending unit is in. Hopefully will be going Monday to get it replaced. Didn't go today because after the kitten had seizures I didn't want to leave him home alone.

Rained so hard yesterday my sidewalk downhill to my front door looked like a river. Water running so fast it couldn't all go down between the blocks. Luckily my door is about 3" above the blocks so it don't flood.
